So a few years ago I visited my wife’s old employees in Boston USA - they had just moved back there from London Also present at this gathering was both their sets of parents - one of whom had been a professional dancer in her younger days on the Shivaree Tv Show She played me this clip at the times and pointed herself out - Dark hair girl left hand side of singer - anyway I really liked this track - having never heard it before , picked up a copy for a dollar and that was that - stuck it in the box Fast forward a few years and am listening to the latest Pete Smith beat ballad compilation on Mixcloud and on it comes ! Has this been getting plays as I have never heard it or seen it anywhere - do’s / podcasts / sales lists , etc and genuinely thought it was an unknown and well under the radar ? What’s your thoughts - bubblegum pop or blue eyed soul ?

Yes it has Got Takin My Mind Off Love on the b side rather than the original Fee b side Off At The Next Stop

In a nutshell yes ! But not all ! I posted a want on here and was contacted by a seller - they had the record on discogs for £50 cheaper than what they offered me on here - guess what ? I declined and bought it off them on discogs ! Unbelievable !!!

There is a copy on popsike from 2012 that was part of the Chris Savory collection that went to Omega Auctions The detailed description is the same as you have described regarding the same matrix numbers crossed out also It went for £50

Yes it is BUT beware ! There are two versions on identical Lp’s - so you need the following matrix for the uptempo version s 9014 a - 2 If you buy a sealed Lp then your taking the chance it may be the slow version

Just for your info - they are also on an obscure french 60’s lp released at the time - in case you don’t get the 45 - 3 currently on discogs from £28 onwards
