I have that one too. Bought ages ago for £3 so always assumed it was a boot. Looking at the 'style' of the vinyl and label it's very similar to releases of the mid 70's e.g. Marvin Holmes - You Better Keep Her from '74
  4. I used to have the original studio acetate of this, lent it to a friend and never saw it again, do you have it now?

Check this link for some info: /index.php?showtopic=33097
  6. What's the delta number of the original? I have what I think is the re-issue and it's 83211 which puts it in the 70's, but it is on styrene.

Love it. One of a very of those 80's records with the drum machine backing that I actually like. Reminds me of Rocky City for some reason.

I thought it might be NY too with it being PP production. Do you have any info on 'Audio Fidelity Records' which the Karate records are a 'product of' Spurious conection time: The "A Pied Piper Productions" looks exactly the same (font & size) as on the Hesitations on Kapp which is NY and I know Mike Terry ended up in NY

  13. Platters – ‘Not my girl’ & Fabulous Impact for nostalgic reasons Carla Thomas – ‘Never stop’ perfect sing along tune in a ’poptastic’ kind of way Peggy Gaines – ‘When the boy you love’ is probably the best female outing, for me Garland Green – ‘Come through me’ is one of those “wow that’s good, how the hell did that not get a release” tracks - why don’t they make turntables that repeat? Mill Evans – ‘Ain’t you glad’ brilliant tune to cheer you up Charmaines – ‘I idolize you’ I like this because it’s different, a girly track with balls! Shame it looks like I’d have to sell first 21 to buy a copy of this years!
  14. Yes. But isn't really Jimmy Radcliffe or is this a wrong tree I'm barking up?
  15. Pretty sure it's never been booted. I think that people thought it might have been becasue quite a few turned up in a short space of time, seem to remember Soul Bowl having a box of them. Try looking on the run outs to see if you can spot a very feint ' I ' stamp. Also, the WD's print is in italics, whereas issues on the label are not

Richard Domar Is that really RD 'don't ring me between' etc etc? Brcokes Brothers @ £5? Daybreak @ £2?

Don't know who did them. I seem to remember Rob Thomas lent them to me - he never did like me! The have just been tinkered with on a PC by changing their pitch and play speeds. Pete Smith has also done some in the past and post them up on here. Novelty value soon wears thin though.

House sale might have resulted from the break of a same-sex marriage? No trendy shops like IKEA had been invented at the time to sell a 'His and His Vanity' "that still reflects his memory"? I've got a couple of CD's of this cobblers, probably the worst is a 'female' version of Sam Dees' Lonely for You Baby, another same-sex relationship as she wants to see the girl again. Don't worry, I can't find the CD's so can't post any of them up, thank god!

All very odd! The original is SIMC & Isn't She A Pretty Girl There's a later issue of SIMC which has the 'arrow' logo too, but the instrumental on the flip. Label looks the same as the original but has 'VOCAL' on the label that gives it away There another later issue, different design label. SIMC has additional bongos, but the same version of ISAPG on the b side
  20. I don't think the FI's will come out on (vinyl) again as it was lifted from the original studio acetate before it was discovered to be the Moments on Hog - has Ady / Kent got the right to it?

OK anorak time, borrowed an original & boot...... 1. The boots are see-through dark brown vinyl when held up to a bright light. 2. The originals have a conjoined "AS" in a perfect circle stamped in the run-out, on the boot it looks like a hand-drawn circle with a ‘zl’ and little ‘c’ in it. 3 The delta mark 68365 (68365-X) & T-101-A (T-101- on the originals are approx 4 - 5mm high, on the boot they are approx 2-3mm high. 4. Although almost the same shade of yellow, the original label is matt; the boot is glossy, particularly the few mm around the edge with the run out which is quite shiny. 5. Around the central hole the step down on the boot is almost continuous, whereas on the original is it for 2/3 then plateaux’s out for the last 1/3. 6. On ‘No time’ the run-out is approx 12mm on both copies. However on CGOTM, it’s about 9mm on the original & 12mm on the boot
