I don't think there is definative answer, but here is some previous thoughts on the matter: /index.p...;hl=moses+smith

Johnny Wyatt "this Thing Called Love"
Perhaps the was insufficient demand ever to lead to the booting of the US copy? UK President could have reissued it enough times &  in quantity to meet the demand, before people moved onto the next thing and  demand waned pretty quickly.

T'other side is better IMO, but unfortunately you might have to break into a tenner to secure a copy!

Any Of You Buy Records You've Already Got
Ann Sexton - You've been gone too long Found 5 copies on a local market store together in the midst of a load of UK pop singles, thought they must be boots as they were in great condition and cheap. Over a few months gave a couple of copies away and went back to another copies, still got 3 left, but not sure if they are boots or originals. Carl Burnette - Jerk baby jerk I keep buying these bloody things, convinced there's a different mix, issues & demos, but to no avail. Rosetta Johnson – That hurts Sure it was gonna go ‘big’ one day and make me rich by selling the spares, but it never did, just the 4 copies left on the shelf.

Carla Record Label
Carla was owned by Ollie McLaughlin, named after one of his daughters. Perhaps he revived it for that yellow 1973 release which he was the produer of?

- Any Great New Discoveries This Year?
I think it's an earlier studio take as there are no horns section on it, it's a bit sparse, but does have some nice bongos!- Eric & The Vikings To High Fashion ?
Is possible as it’s not exactly a common name, is it? Also, there’s only 15 + years difference between the recordings, so he wouldn’t have that old in 83 would he? I noticed that you have Eryck / Erick spelt differently, perhaps one real and one a ‘stage’ name? Maybe father and son? It was quite common at the time for the first born lad to take his father name; Marvin Gay(e), James Jamerson X 3 Its strange how names crop up. I’ve had an unreleased 60’s track by Kea Williams – Our Love Is dieing , on CD for a few years now, and was playing some 12’s from ’82 the other month, BB&Q – Imagination, written by a certain Kea Williams.- The Celebrities On Boss Finishing Price

He did have it covered up as Lamar Thomas & The Chains That Bind - All Of My Life Waiting For You, it's was the same version as that posted in this thread.- Info Wanted
I pretty sure they did not, but I have seen a dodgy looking French CD comp with the Sir Prize track on it.- A Few Odd 7ts Things

- Can Anyone Help With A Robbie Lawson Scan?
I seem to remember they are both on a 'Kyser' label, one yellow, one pink. I was told ages ago that the pink ones are boots and the yellow one are re-issues, and hence the yellow ones play better.- Can Anyone Help With A Robbie Lawson Scan?
Yes, it was booted twice. I can't remember what the other was, but seem to think it was pink, soul galore?- Tymes - Here She Comes (a Question)
No, the fat old fart you sold it to has still got it! :-)- Larry Houston Aka Top Cat
I seem to remember it's a plain red label with black text; always thought it was a boot as opposed to a legit re-issue. I think it was issued by the label twice, but not sure which was the original and which the re-issue; One has a light red top and print. LSSTT is all on one line and in capitals and lower case. The matrix stamp ' AUDIO LABS' is on both sides The other is more orange than red at the top and print. LSSTTÂ is all in capitals and split over two lines. 'AUDIO LABS' stamp is only on the 'give me something to go on' Â A side.- Detroit Item Wanted
Chalky, do you think the Embers came out twice?  Straight of the Act IV record, it does sound different to your clip, but the same as the Mid Town one to me.- Manships Auctions
