Candy & The Kisses-Mr Creator
I'm sure there's an old thread about this somewhere. If my memory serves me correct, the vocalist is Valerie Simpson (co-writer) and not Candy & the Kisses as the label claims. It was withdrawn due to legal reasons, of which I don't recollect being specified.

Miracle Delivery From Usa
Ooh, Tuesday must be record delivery day. I received this morning, Emanuel Laskeys Peace Loving Man from Detroit via Tokyo! Does Dave Flynn work in a hospital? The tape he uses is strangely similar to sticking plaster .

The Belles - Don't Pretend - Mirwood - Pressing Fault?
Wanna swap? Luck of the draw I suppose, still the other side plays ok, just have to do until I can get a better one.

The Belles - Don't Pretend - Mirwood - Pressing Fault?
Just a quick question concerning The Belles - Don't Pretend - Mirwood, has this got a common pressing fault? A couple of years or so ago I bought a copy of this off ebay for a little over £20. Anyway it was visually graded as near mint and to be honest I agree with that. As I'm sure most of you would if you were to see it. Anyway I digress, for the 1st 40 seconds it has an annoying background noise/distortion going on, then bam, loud and clear!? I've tried cleaning it and makes no difference, just bugs me that's all, so I got to wondering if it was a pressing fault. So again, has anyone else had a copy with this problem?

Comedy Sale Of The Day
Not so much as comedy, more misleading... northern collection To be fair he says the picture isn't that of the collection, but then they've listed a cd collection and that shows the actual cds, so why not just take a picture of the actual records?

Northern Soul Sessions - Teddington
Thanks to Ann for inviting me to play a few out. I was debating whether to post up a playlist or not, but as I've got to wait up for my brother-in-law (he's stopped off at a mates for a bit of afters), I've got time to kill. I was on from 9.30pm to 10.30pm, here's what I played nothing rare or expensive, if anything overplayed, but then it is mainly an oldies night and we are a small and friendly bunch. The Sheppards - How Do You Like It - Mirwood The Impressions - You've Been Cheatin' - ABC Jackie Wilson - I Don't Want To Lose You - Brunswick The Voices Of East Harlem - Cashing In - Just Sunshine Bobby Womack - Home Is Where The Heart Is - Columbia Jeff Perry - Love Don't Come No Stronger - Arista The Continental 4 - The Way I Love You - Jay-Walking The Fantastic Four - Pin Point It Down - Soul Kings Go Forth - One Day - Mr C's The Mighty Marvelows - Talkin' Bout Ya Baby - ABC Gene Chandler - Mr Big Shot - Constellation Billy Butler - Right Track - Okeh The Artistics - This Heart Of Mine - Okeh Butch Baker - The Fat Man - St Lawrence Tony Clarke - Landslide - Chess Jimmey Soul Clark - Sweet Darlin - Soulhawk The Showmen - Our Love Will Grow - Swan Deon Jackson - That's What You Do To Me - Carla The Shalimars - Stop And Take A Look At Yourself - Verve Terri Bryant - Geni - Verve Clara Hardy - I Dream Of You - Tuna Lavern Baker - One Monkey - Brunswick Etta James - Mellow Fellow - Argo Jo Armstead - I Feel An Urge Coming On - Giant Little Carl Carlton - Competition Ain't Nothin' - Back Beat Like I said, nothing rare or expensive. Quite a few old favourites that my friends and I like, Anyway I enjoyed myself as did those that were there (at least I hoped they did).

Two Plus Two Look Around C/w I'm Sure
The one on Ebay from 5 years or so ago (prob 2004 as previously mentioned), I remember watching that. Seller was recordmanx from Detroit, starting bid was something like $6.99. It was unusual for that seller to have soundclips on his listings and I thought I might be able to get another cheap little item from him, how wrong was I? I love it, but unless 6 numbers in the lotto unlikely to ever get a copy . Wasn't it booted a couple of years back?

Frank Dell, Masquaders, Tommy Frontera, Jack Montgomery
Yes it has. If you'd delayed putting this list up until Friday, I'd have bitten your hands off for Jack Montgomery at that price. Was really tempted after recently clearing the credit card, but really had to control the urge. Don't suppose you've another copy hanging around have you?

I couldn't help noticing the sticker on the youtube clip above. I've one of those on her Am I The Same Girl, so were there no yellow demos for those releases?- Melba Moore - Magic Touch - 100 Club Anniversary Kent
Right before I begin, this is a want in advance of payday next Friday (2 March)! So are we clear on that, I can pay next Friday and not before. I'm after two records and would like both in at least excellent condition with clean labels. The two records are: The Capitols - Dont Say Maybe Baby - Karen Sorted on This, Thanks. Melba Moore - Magic Touch - 6T's 100 Club Anniversary, Kent I've seen The Capitols on John Manship and Pat Bradys sites, but was hoping to get one a tad cheaper, I've also seen the one on Ebay for £55 bin, but think this is too much for a VG graded copy. As for Melba Moore I still haven't been able to obtain one to complete the set. So there you have it, if anyone maybe in the position to assist me next Friday it would be appreciated. Still looking for Melba Moore - Magic Touch - 6T's 100 Club Anniversary Kent, thanks.- Eddie Holman - Where I'm Not Wanted
Soul Beat was the black label release, with either Sister Sledge, Ronnie Dyson or another which I can't remember at the moment, because I'm at work. I've got two records on this label, from my scootering days back in the 80's. I thought this was released on Grapevine 2000 series, could be wrong though.- Four Voices-Our Love Is Getting Stronger-Voice
Like the initial poster I've always wondered about this. I've never seen GREEN listed, so how much for the green label original?- Gino Wshington - Like My Baby

This isn't going to help, so apologies. I picked this up at a local Oxfam charity shop just the other week, is it actually worth anything?- Anglo American - Latest List
- Pat Lewis - (Artist Of The Week)
I reposted my Pat Lewis scan from the Solid Hit thread, but here's another couple of scans. One an original 60's release and one that isn't (or is it wasn't?).- Pat Lewis - (Artist Of The Week)
- Barbara Acklin-Am I The Same Girl-Mca British
I'm sure I've heard a more recent tune with the same backing as this played out in bloody New Look or some such shop, whilst out with the wife and kids! Different words, but definately same music.- Solid Hit - (Label Of The Week)
