  1. Just out of interest, how much would a copy go for?
  2. Having to buy at the lower end of prices (no more than £40!) I tend to buy stuff that's graded no less than VG+ or 7 depends on the seller. As for writing on the label it doesn't really bother me as someone said before (Andy BB ), "You can't play the f*&king label!" An example I've got is Voices of East Harlem, Cashing In with the name Roy Pickett written all over it.
  3. A freebie that goes for £75 now!
  4. Salvadors for me, please.
  5. Dan, Will you desist from starting anymore of these unfounded rumours. As anyone who has been on this forum any length of time, knows only full well that there is no such thing as an honest Ebayer! Yours, Mr. Disgruntled of Surrey.
  6. Fair enough. The other side of the coin about not sending it registered, is how do you know the buyers are not ripping him off by saying they haven't arrived? As the great Bart Simpson once said "Your damned if you do and your damned if you don't!"
  7. Don't take this the wrong way, but surely if you bid on something you should pay for it? What was the sellers feedback rating? Why ask the seller if he felt he should have got more? You don't say how much it was for or indeed what record it was? I know people are careful when buying (or selling) on Ebay, but I can't see how you're going to win this one. Why if you were concerned, bid in the first place? PS any chance of a link to the said record?
  8. The best DJ's are those that do it with a smile on their faces.
  9. Seeing as you claim to be 25, how on earth could you have seen him DJ in the 70's?
  10. Roger Stewart also sells CD's (Kent, Goldmine, Motown) plus vinyl reissues and LP's from his shop and website. >> Boogaloo Records <<
  11. Pete, I've sent you a PM.

Isn't Don Ray's Born A Loser quite short as well?
  16. Having taken your advice John, I've just purchased this near mint copy off Ebay for the princely sum of £8.30, including postage from the States!
  17. RIP Nigel, my condolences to his family & friends.
  18. Here's to a full recovery, get well soon Mr Shaw.
  19. Can someone please tell me how many label designs were there for Carla? It's just that after buying Deon Jackson's Ooh Baby back in March, I've been looking at buying some of his other stuff. The only thing putting me off is the amount of different label designs, not too sure if stuff was booted or not. for example: Anyway, any info & recommendations gratefully received.

  21. Could any moderators please delete any mention of Easier Said Than Done by The Four Sonics on this thread. The reason being that I've just bid on a copy on Ebay and I don't want anybody who may not of heard this before outbidding me, thank you.
  22. I never lend any records out to mates anymore. Years ago when on the scooter scene lent a copy of The Reflections, Romeo & Juliet to someone, never to be seen again! But sometimes worse than not getting them back at all, is getting them back all scratched!
  23. I believe it's on Sport not Boss. Also has anybody got a copy for sale? This was recommended to me when I first joined Soul-Source and I can never seem to get my hands on a copy!
