Got a crate of of 400 records without sleeves on a market in LA.. £40 for the lot, split it 3 ways and i paid £15 for 130 tunes.. First record i got was Marie Night.. "Come on baby" looked in the guide and it was priced at around £150.. Result... All the opthers were pretty standard stuff on Motown/ Atlantic but still pretty nice for £15..

A soundfile on here if it all possible Paul... few others wanna here it too.. Away from home and not able to do any tech stuff from here.. I know a few friends have seen Jerry live a few times in the states, ny other folk had the chance??? When if ever did Jerry Butler come over to the uk????

Hope to go to see Jerry Butler play live in America next year while i have the chance to see one of my soul gods.. Any nice stories from members about seeing the iceman live.. One day they will all be gone, wanna pay my respect to a real soul hero.. Was searching the net for a soundfile of favourite tune by Jerry called Isle Of Sirens, found a soundfile on youtube listed as Jeery Butler with the impressions but not the version that i have with Jerry singing solo ( a deep soul ballad )... Does anyone have a soundfile please, do many of you know this tune???? regards steve cheers Steve

Another one of those questions Barry.. Can't talk about what was and what is now really... Then many were teenagers with no cares at all with all life in front of us.. Now most are middle age or more and have been through so much... Still a strong all niter crowd that live for the weekend but not in the numbers it was back then..
