Soul As I Don't Know It
I also love comments like they should be shot by my Swedish brother Some say its only music and not the end of the world..without the rare soul scene i think my world would not be the same place..Its my milk in my coffee and the sugar in my tea(is that from a soul song?)....Good comments on here but you know the way its gonna go..Not gonna get disco tony coming on here and saying that all them obscure soul tracks were obscure because no people liked them...If he did then he would be shot ..I would like to see this topic on a mainstream forum with you lot against the wedding djs and the like..Now that would be fun.. ..

Soul As I Don't Know It
Thats commercial tv for you mate...To get a programme like that through at that time of the night they have to go for the mainstream and a large viewing public..Ina commercial world they have to play safe..Like we have always said mate,if you want the real deal you really have to search for it...

Sunday Times
I have picked up a few Sharon Jones tunes..Great production..Would like to see her live and then make up my mind..If this kind of thing charts then some will say its great and others will not be keen, thats how it is..Same thing with the 90s and Acid jazz, that brought some younger folk onto the rare soul/deep funk scene, thats good aint it.... This don't mean that Ken,Jt or Dave are right or wrong, just a different outlook...I played some acid jazz in the 90s alongside rare groove and northern, this was a good way of bringing new blood into the scene..I took some people from the acid jazz scene to the 100 club and that was them hooked..You will only get one in a thousand who will take to rare soul but when they do its a joy to see...
