As A "newie" To This (brill) Soul Reference Site
That just sucks!! Actually I can see your point, but I'm going to have to diasagree with it. SS works best for me when its both witty & informative. I like to read posts with strong opinions for & against the subject. Heaven forbid that we should all either politely concur or defer. Col.

Aztecs - Damelo Baby
Have heard Latin Northern played out before & not enjoyed it. But recently came across this track & thought I'd whack it up here to see if anybody liked it. You need to play it all the way through, as its err....different. Enjoy, or not. Col.

Absoloutely Useless Records Which Soul Snobs Like
How about the Chesterfields. A record so bad they couldn't be bothered to finish the production.

Both George Hobson & Oxford Nights are absolute garbage. Paula Parfitt is a quirky but good pop record. Jan Jones loved it for 20 years

Soul Sacrifice
Only the names have been changed tro protect the guilty.. One of my mates Bert is not allowed out to all-niters by his partner. Some minor bad behaviour in the past. But he is allowed to go and watch soul artists in concert. So everytime we do an all-niter its agreed that we've really gone to see the O'Jays or whoever & apparently we book into a hotel. Just to make it more interesting, he also fabricates a little story. Last time we were all out on a normal social event, Bert says "if my wife asks anything about last week-end, you had to share a hotel bed with Ernie" I looked confused & was further advised that there had been a mix up with the beds at our imaginary hotel. Apparently he'd got a bed ok, but I had to share! Why he'd made up that particular story I have no idea, but thats what happens when you choose your mates on entertainment value!

I thought the last Stoke might have had similar healing powers. Alas non. I knew I was in trouble leaving the hotel (minor chest infection). By 2.30 I had trouble breathing and had turned a nice shade of grey, all this despite natures finest supplements. Back in bed by 3.00. Stupid or what? Col.

Soul Sacrifice
Good topic Ian. Back in the late 70, mate of mine Nicky Hillier got back from Wigan, had a quick sandwich Sunday lunchtime & nodded off in the armchair His family came round for tea around 5pm & he awoke to find them all there in the sitting room staring at him. Regrettably he still had the same sandwich from lunch time in his mouth. Happy days.

Positive Mental Attitude.- Waddya Think?
Not a record for a soul night. If stuff like that is getting played out, then the goal posts have been moved too far for me. Col.- The Soul-source Challenge
Cheers Dan, Thats an awesome track you've posted, just builds & builds. Col. Can't wait to here Moldies selection, I bet he's rumbling through his pressing box right now...- The Soul-source Challenge

I'm sure if I put my address up on here, about 47 gas ovens would turn up.- The Soul-source Challenge
The Soul-Source Challenge Here's how it works - The best underplayed track at the moment is The Artistics - On & On. It could & should get played out more. It would go down well at either the 100 Club or Soul Essence! Or so I say. If I'm wrong (which happens more frequently than I'd like) tell me what it is & post up an mp3. Following on, if you have a more deserving choice than the last person to post - just add a new post. The only rule is you can't nominate unless you post up an mp3 Col.- Soul Animals
If I ever get that bored, I'll stick my head in a gas oven - just for fun- Best Dancers
Blimey, somebody got out of bed the wrong side. Personally I like watching Chris, he gives it 100% Col.- Early Modern Soul Dancing
Not recommended for people with dentures.- Uk White Soul
