  1. Defo Discogs... Works a bit like Amazon where you only pay for the listing if it sells, so no outlay or loss before you start. The listings are set out, so no need to photograph, then you just pick the price you want. Un-like Amazon, you get to choose your postage costs. I find Amazon don't cover costs properly, especially on 12"s. Good luck...gives you something to do when the tv is boring on an evening... I got a job lot of mash up re-mix awful 12"s from someone with some Technics I bought and they're goin really well...
  2. Quite a good post, looked at from a different perspective... I love that we are all so different, yet at times we actually agree... How boring if we all liked everything the same... Viva la difference...
  3. We didn't get that far. I did say he'd already offered his services on FB and I would contact him that way if needed... Don't be so disrespectful Matt... Everyone is welcome in the Freestyle Room, I will not have your snobbery rear it's ugly head... And there lies the problem...
  4. Funny you should say that, his agent contacted me to ask if I'd heard of him and if I wanted to book him for Rugby... It's probably best if it's not portrayed properly and inviting to the millions...imagine if they all turned up......
  5. I was daft enuf to ask if I could go...I got the "you want to go to an all-nite disco in Wigan with someone I don't know, come back and ask me when you're 18"... They did let me have all nite parties at home tho, so they probably had an idea how I would behave when let out...
  6. You were too young and obviously didn't have a mother like mine, no way would I have gone without her permission...
  7. I did think he was gunna jump up to dance to it when it first came on... Me, coz that's the bit I can relate to... I missed the beginning, why was it actually on...
  8. Soz, didn't realise it wasn't in refosoul...
  9. I'm selling my copy of Art Benton - Sweet Loving - Chris records for £40 I want to sell it at Rugby...that way the buyer can see it first and I don't have to do postage... See me on the door if you are interested. Thanks Sian
  10. Mmm, thanks Derek. We're in tonight, so now tuning in...
  11. I said I would cut back to one niter a month, not so much the cost but it's always a health thing with me...very boring... Did Tadcaster last weekend and still ain't over it, getting bad when a soul nite puts me back. But I supose it's saving pennies by me staying in, just sending Dean mad putting up with me when I'm on one... I've chosen my night out for April, May, June, July, August, September, October & November so far...

  14. Coz the seller put UK only coz either he don't know, or he can get more...sales pitch... I saw it too and was gunna e-mail him but then I'd only look like a chin stroker...
  15. Defo the best two quotes, sorry Peggy but you are wrong...honest in your opinion but wrong... and at your age love, you need a chance to sit down and rest... Now, as a woman, I will go back to the kitchen and know my place...

That is so weird. I was chatting with Julia and Pete yesterday about Lea Manor as that is where we had met properly and I told them about this thread and the sad picture. Could I find this thread, or the picture and now it's popped up to haunt me... At least I wasn't imagining it...
  17. Brilliant... Same reaction from my 12 year old son...great but why have they put "that music" to it... my answer was "It's their choice" he didn't click...
  18. Funny you should say that because I can miss people in an empty room with my bad eyesight but it's took looking at the fotos to see loads of people I didn't realise were there...
  19. Lovely to see you back on form... I can't describe what a brilliant nite I had coz words just aren't good enuf big thanks from one happy lady... Sorry to those who I talked to death but the dance floor was too full to let off steam, so you all got it...especially Dave Rimmer, who is always so patient with me...
  20. Freaky, just got this on the decks and saw the thread...
  21. I thought I only went to all-niters there but those years were all a bit blurry... (did love the revolving floor, quite revolutionary in them days...) I remember one of the last time I went there was a Boxing Night and Edwin Starr was gunna be singing. Such a lovely man, always made the efoort to talk to people and instead of getting on the stage to sing, he stood in the middle of the dance floor with everyone around him to do his spot... and my battery was flat when we went outside afterwards...(strange the things you do remember)...
  22. Can we fit in some choir practice... ...me too, ain't been out properly for ever...
  23. Got to agree with Bint of Soul, at least they're making a living but... £99 for a four place setting... I'd buy my own white set (or get it free from a girl who can) and get my own stickers... or maybe not...
