Ally Mayer's probably still got it somewhere. My other halfs surname is Salisbury but when he filled in for his membership, he put Soulsbury... Still got ours somewhere, I'll have to see what numbers we were.

Not sure about everyone else's reasons but I can tell you from our perspective. The Benn Hall is the only big, decent venue in Rugby and thus is wanted by everyone. This meant we had to be out by 6am for the next ones in to set up. We wanted to still give 10 hours, so had to start 8pm. We also had brilliant backing for the last five years from the soul nite crowd and would not turn our backs on them. When we had our trial all-nighter Feb '07, the management were so impressed, they agreed straight away to start 2008 with all all-nighters, the only hiccup there was that April and Sept already had people coming in at 6am!!! So, rather than not running those two, we went for 5am finish...still 9 solid hours of dancing...

It reminds me of getting in from town, really drunk, so drunk that I couldn't put my records on the turntable & making my cousin play them for me... then waking up in the morning, with the records still spread all over the floor and me lying in the middle of em... memories... She's not into northern but can still sing the words to loads of my older collections...

To my embarrassment, I've still got mine but then I am a girl...

At last, you have answered a question for me from another thread. I knew it had been used for a theme tune but had got it into my head that it was a TV program. No one knew what I was on about (nought new there). Now the penny has dropped, it was radio Caroline. Thanks for putting me out of my misery...

Paid... Del, Jo, Ganche, Cariad, any of you lovely ladies that help, don't start getting ideas, the sweets are plenty payment...

But what Jo forgot to mention is, she doesn't get a choice... Seriously tho, we only use the door as a base...near to loo's, dance floor, bar etc and we just escape when we feel like it... Plus we get to meet everyone as they walk in, brilliant I say...
