  3. Kev This is the one that sold recently as described above: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RARE-NORTHERN-SOUL-GROOVETTES-THINK-IT-OVER-BABY-RENESS-RECORDS-/161204268128?pt=UK_Records&hash=item258885ec60 This one is on there now: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RARE-NORTHERN-SOUL-GROOVETTES-THINK-IT-OVER-BABY-RENESS-RECORDS-/111270069218?pt=UK_Records&hash=item19e83683e2 Cheers Richard
  4. Similar to their other ones. Nothing to rave about. I have a copy and if I have done an MP3 I will let you know (P.S. I did and have sent you a PM with the MP3) Cheers Richard
  5. The eBay one was a decent enough VG+ copy Kev. It's still there if you search completed items. Cheers Richard
  6. "Sidra's Theme" is on #9007. "Blow Out The Candle" on the flip. Issue is red. Sidra #9006 was"Each Time" with the first release of "As Long As You Love Me (I'll Stay)" on the other side. This is the vocal to "Sidra's Theme". This was on a red issue. Rare. "As Long As You Love Me (I'll Stay)" was released later on #9011 with "Step Into My Heart" on the other side. This was the later label design with the blue/green and black design issues. Cheers Richard
  7. STEVE MANCHA - FRIDAY NIGHT / MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY (GROOVESVILLE 1004) Tremendous Detroit double-sider - similar backing both sides, but such totally different takes - both brilliant. Price is £250 please ** SOLD ** SOLD ** SOLD ** THANK YOU. This is a lovely copy, which I'm grading conservatively at VG+ to be on the safe side. Actually came out of Martin Koppel's collection when Anglo-American was selling his stuff off yonks ago. Purchased as as M- condition. Most copies of this are trashed. Label scans from actual record below along with soundfiles of both sides. Payment by PayPal as gift (family & friends), cheque or cash please. Postage is £2.50 UK Recorded Delivery or £7.00 UK Special Delivery. Overseas at cost. No quibble money back guarantee if not happy. Please just PM me if interested. What about this one? Too fast to dance to? Floor-clearer? LITTLE RODGER HATCHER - GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF (DEL-LA NORTHERN) OR TEN HIGH MISS-PRESS AS SHOWN
  10. There was a Groovettes on eBay recently at the end of Jan - went for £550. Didn't Pat Brady auction one a while back also? Cheers Richard
  11. On air now folks! KITCH IS THE SPECIAL GUEST LIVE IN THE STUDIO
  12. Wednesday night - so it's the TNT soul show. KITCH IS THE SPECIAL GUEST LIVE IN THE STUDIO Tulip Radio - 7- 9pm. Two hours of fabulous soul music and decent banter www.tulip-radio.co.uk Or use the TuneIn app on your phone. Cheers Richard
  13. Don't think so Mike - but "They Say I'm Afraid (Of Losing You)" from the LP is the same backing as Eddie Parker "Crying Clown" Cheers Richard
  14. I guessed - but I think they all watch the same movie together at the same time online but are also networked on "face time" so they can communicate with each other in real time about the movie even though they are all in different places - kind of like a video conference watching a movie? Am I right? Cheers Richard
  15. Thread is about Ann Perry and if it still gets played, if so where and who plays it etc. My original question has been answered thank you so I'm locking it Thank you everyone for your input and thank you to the Mods (presumably) for removing a couple of seriously off topic posts. Cheers Richard
  16. The most widely held opinion among collectors and the most well-respected and reputable dealers is that the styrene issue with the Circa rosette is the true and authentic original. There are doubts about the Bell Sound copies. This has been done to death on here in the past I'm sure so suggest searching the forum rather than repeating here. Going back to the original question, sounds like it's not played out much these days, but when it is it's a popular play, apart from with those folk who are too old to keep up the pace ;-) :-o Cheers Richard
  17. Have probably only seen a couple of the styrene copies with the Circa rosette in the past handful of years. The vinyl Bell Sound copy turns up more commonly - think the last one I saw was Tim Brown listed one not that long ago. Cheers Richard
  18. I'm not sure what this would add to things - could be good, but I'm struggling to visualise how it would work in practice. If I'm selling a record I usually put full information plus scans/digital photos and soundfiles. This gives as much information as possible and is the next best thing to actually having the record in your hand. I'm not sure how watching a record going round on someone's turntable on your iPad or on Skype, with poor quality images and sound, is going to help see what a record looks like and plays at all. As a buyer, for pricey items I would still want decent quality scans and MP3 soundfiles from the record for sale which would give much more accurate information on the record condition - how it looks and sounds. I can see it would be helpful for people who want to do a "face-to-face" deal - especially those that want to try and negotiate down the price on set sale items. Just strikes me that you would still have to do everything else and that this would be an extra activity/step on top of what people already do. I'm willing to be convinced. Can someone do a demo maybe? Cheers Richard
  19. Mine's an issue too David. Quite a bit rarer than the demo I reckon and a thing of beauty - even in the clashing company sleeve.
  20. The other side is OK. Cheers Richard
  21. You lot are such a tease Say what 'kin track and post it up with scans and you tubes etc
  22. One of my all time favourite Northern classics - and a record that got me off Motown/Stax and into "proper Northern" as a teenager Does anyone play this out these days? If so, who and where? If not why not - it's top class Cheers Richard
  23. Also featured on here on the comedy sale of the day thread. Cheers Richard
  24. No - I don't feel sorry for new collectors starting out. Always been hard work money-wise and always hard work hunting - that's why we say hard records are hard isn't it? Plus, my main point is THIS IS FUN, EXCITING, INSPIRING STUFF - why would you feel sorry for someone doing what we do? Cheers Richard
  25. Some great tracks already played and it's only a few minutes in Antellects, Jesse Davis instrumental, Willie Kendrick - American Dollar ...
