  1. The old Sandpiper club in the Nottingham lace market for me was the Damned - plus loads at that place at the time - S & Banshees, Stiff Little Fingers, Dickies (US), and the Ruts were especially good live Missed the pistols there under a pseudonym but hey!
  2. The Damned in their early phase - pre TOTP - were great - and great live too Good to see Ace releasing more of this kind of stuff. Cheers Richard
  3. It only takes 2 nutters on ebay - so as long as they are both still alive I will be able to sell I reckon. Cheers Richard
  4. Produced by Burgess Gardner and Monk Higgins. Arranged by Burgess Gardner. Cheers Richard
  5. Think he means demos Pete - but even those on both labels designs are fairly easily picked up. Cheers Richard
  6. Tim Brown has one on auction just now - just recently listed and minimum bid £500 It's written by Popcorn Wylie. His Ala-King company is in on the publishing credits - but he's not credited for production or arrangement on the label - those credits go to others. The auction write up says it's Barbara Acklin on vocals. Cheers Richard
  7. Dunno - but the pic in the middle is a grand piano - any clue there? Cheers Richard
  8. Dave - I meant the 'Scott's On Swingers' single sided mate - not 'Agent 00-Soul' - there's a single and double sided version of 'Scott's On Swingers'. Mind you, the 'Agent 00-Soul' is pretty rare too Cheers Richard
  9. This is the local Detroit press I believe - same kind of label as Sharon McMahan and the Gambrells - with an 803 prefix I have this variation and a few others but not my scan (lifted from internet). Cheers Richard
  10. Plus, there was another one on aBay only a couple of weeks ago Cheers Richard
  11. No mate - I think it's just more eBay madness (and a nice clean copy) Cheers Richard
  12. Single sided Scott's on Swingers (with the blank side) is pretty rare I would say. Cheers Richard
  13. Have this somewhere - it's not very good I don't think - the scan is not my copy it's from a quick google Cheers Richard
  14. That Otis Clay is brilliant Cheers Richard
  15. OK - I'm up to track 10 - The Pied Piper Players "That's What Love Is" - what an absolutely awesome track - it's got me tingling with gosebumps - brilliant That Rose Batiste is also sooooo good! Cheers Richard
  16. Look on this link and tell me which one mate and I will see if I have a spare on that label design. There are a couple of different blue ones with lines https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=capitols+cool+jerk+karen&hl=en&tbo=d&rlz=1C1SVEA_en-GBGB472GB473&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=ygwMUarXJIqb1AWPsYCwCQ&ved=0CAoQ_AUoAA&biw=1920&bih=955 Cheers Richard

  18. I find the Detroit connecion to Darrow's work interesting. On Jacklyn there was "What Good Am I Without You" - Mike Terry etc. On Groovy there was "Gotta Draw The Line" which was a Solid Hitbound Production. Any others please? Cheers Richard

  24. I also have a record on Dynamics D-1101 by Johnny Adams. It is on a silver label, with black print, and has a similar design to some of the other releases with 'Dynamics' in a box. The label address is shown as 5603 16th Street, Detroit. Titles are 'I'm Grateful' and 'Going To The City'. This was also released on the Gone label. Never been sure about it's provenance, date, originality etc. on Dynamics. Cheers Richard
