  1. Yep, seen and held the issued version (it's on French Stax). Here's a piccy for your perusal.
  2. Not bad for $40 plus shipping then.....
  3. Played this out a few times over the last couple of years - when I get the chance to do a 70s/Crossover type spot. Had a couple in my sales box and struggled to sell em, obviously not rare enough LOL
  4. Bought a nice french test press of his ep featuring Blues In The Night recently, Anyone got a current upto date value on this? I notice John Manship has had one at some point as it's listed when you carry out a search on his site...
  5. Been scanning through the Rarest of the Rare Gallery on Manships website, and it occurred to me that I hadn't a clue how some of the records qualify for inclusion. Whilst some are genuinely rare, it appears to me that quite a few aren't. A few that jump off the page are: Percy Milem - Call On Me - Goldwax Dorothy Williams - The Wells Gone Dry - Goldwax Mack Starr - Down By The Waterhole - Chene Paul Sindab - Can't Wait No Longer - Kasika All of which I've picked up over the last couple of years for well under 'book' price, with the exception of the Paul Sindab, which was a tenner about 10 years ago. All have been fairly regular visitors to eBay, and the Paul Sindab has been a semi-permanent fixture on there. So what is the criteria for this section? Maybe John will be good enough to post a response, as I'm completely flummoxed.
  6. Probably Bradford 1989... Have trouble remembering the last nighter I went to, let alone the first.
  7. Ahaar, Be Clippy Cloppy Cowboy Muzak. The wench loves it, but i can live without it. Yarr.
  8. As good a reason as any not to buy the record. Jumped in price to a stupid amount... remember this being a £15 record. If I was Psychic I'd have bought a handfull.

Aharr, Methinks Mr Roberts knows not what a thug is really like. I imagine if he were to come across a real one, he'd be hiding behind his wifes petticoats quicker than you can say 'Whitby Ticket Fiasco' Yarr.
  16. Aharr, I thinks i should drink some more grog afore attempting to decipher the replies on this thread. Yarr.
  17. Avast, There is also a version of the backing (possibly re-recorded) with vocals by O.V. Wright on Back Beat. https://www.raresoulman.co.uk/sounds/exists...HE_WAY_YOU_LOVE Yarr.
  18. Aharr, I cast mine away also... Yarr.
  19. Aharr, There be a sound-clippy on Mr Manships site... A touch more expensive than 40 Dubloons though. Yarr.
  20. Aharr, But all three above tracks be Narwhal shite. Yarr.
  21. Idon't see a problem with requests - you've paid your buck to get in the place... If it's worthy of being in their play box, it's worthy of being played as a request. Just make sure you don't ask them near the end of their set, can be a right bugger trying to shoehorn a request in if it doesn't fit with the flow of the tracks already selected.
  22. It was recorded for an ad for Alka -Seltzer
  23. Yep, you can get em for £15 plus p+p from me.

  25. Aharr, There's nothing silly about a frilly shirt and breeches. Ideal togs for tomfoolery. Yarr.
