  5. Turn the record to the other side n you get a much better up tempo sound. 'Wild ones' But thats just me Both sides quality (2 sides for the price of one) Dunc
  6. I would go with Dave on this as we both went to Accrington British Legion Soul Club then, and I remember it being played. The DJ's n collectors bought from soul bowl then weekly. It was about before Ian Levine did his one night spot at the Casino. So that will date it. Dave was an avid collector then, even going to the states to buy in bulk. Back to the original question though. Never seen a boot of the yellow label. Unless someone done some lately........
  7. You might Know it but there are hundreds who dont. Thats the point. It wasn't played at Wigan or Stafford ford as it was a B side you are Soooooooo right
  8. Yes I agree with you
  9. I agree with you about that, But your average northern souler who went to Wigan or Stafford would not know it as it was played for the other side. Not at Wigan or Stafford but maybe near where you live. The 100 CluB is where I went to in the 80s n they did have their own sounds there like Wigan did
  10. The Wilie & Mighty Magnificents is the original LP and very rare, it is on All Platinum. The Willie & West is a 70s probably made by members of the band and is a reissue and there probably are loads of copies of that. That is why the All Platinum LP made good money on an auction site and I have one.
  11. Here's another one. This is credited as Willie & West ( on the tube) which was from a second issue Lp made in the 70s. The original was an Lp only track by Willie and the Mighty Magnificents on an All Platinum LP. It was played briefly in the 70s at the Casino by Keith Minshull which made nearly £300 on an auction site lately Again this is off the tube, no sign of the All Platinum copy
  12. Here it is (hopefuly) Not my copy but taken from somewhere else
  13. Russ I went to the last Burnley allnighter and for the first four hours there were loads of underplayed 60s uptempo soul records being spun. I recognised a few and they were only £30 records in the day. But from a refreshing point of view it was great to listen to something new. The only problem was that the first two DJs did not use the mic so you did not know the names of the tunes. But they did play some good stuff......a breath of fresh air!.....and thank you, if you read this post. I will try and add one of mine if I can work out how to do it. Ha Ha Dunc

  15. going off what you have said about the F/W stamp. I would say that an original would be stamped with the usual Frankford Wayne stamp. Does anyone have a copy fully stamped?
  16. Hello Pete Take a look at both your copies and the e on Dame Frances are smudged exactly the same on both. Pat Brady has one on his site at the moment and you will see what I mean. Also he points out that the vinyl is thin and flexible. Hope this helps
  17. RESPECT
  18. Turn number 83. Billy Gibson MGM 45 over to B side and add a refosoul clip.

There are two different label formats on this one. One is a salmon lookin colour with small text and one with larger text, yellow label, with lines and address on the label. Think the price went up a bit when willow weep for me was being played and may cost a bit more than quoted. Salmon coloured one maybe 50 but more for the other
  22. I'd pay a tenner for em all, only if you put some clothes on yer avatar
