HI ALL...Mike Raven was the Man back in the mid 6ts. and did do 3 LP's that I have, but because of the state of the Record Room, I will only list 1 for now, and add the other 2 ASAP. On Transatlantic TTRA SAM 5 Mike Raven "Blues Sampler". A really nice LP and Mikes narration takes you into the whole world of the Blues, Contains Leadbelly Dr Ross Sonny Terry, Memphis Slim and more.. The other 2 are on ELECTRA and are also blues samplers with the title Mike Raven Presents...Blues.Vol 1 & 2,and I am pretty sure their is another LP that I don't have/ For the younger ones Mike Raven was with exception the only real way of finding out what was happening in the UK. He was a public school boy and Ox-bridge through and through, I first herd him on the Pirate Station "BIG L" Radio London & when that was closed in 67 he Joined Radio 1 and his R&B show was again great listening at a time when Black Music Was not played on Radio, his R&B Show opened with the Mike Cotton Sound - Soul Serenade, to most of us who remember him have this MGM 45 as a passport to state you are in the know!! I have an Original TROJAN Records Film of the Wembaly REGGAE 70, which has been much sampled for the footage of "SKINHEADS" but the complete film is rare, and MIKE Narrates this to a tea, I hope this is of some help to you?
