  8. I bet it will be just as it has always been at the end of my life, after that I wont be bothered about much "I Guess" till then i will continue to play Soul 45s on a daily basis when I want and what I want. Remember it is all about the Vinal TThats why its called Record collecting DAVE *MORE THAN SKIN DEEP)KIL.
  9. Nice one Pete, this is a nice collectors piece, sounds to me the way you describe the 45, it is a 68 trade record perhaps warning managers of Dance Halls Radio of its racy lyrics probably needed some explanation??? can you remember playing banned record? REGGAR did not stand a chance back then with its RUDE Words. I would class this as obscure and a collector's completest record, I have not got a clue of its value but similar type records go for £15 to £25.. Changing the subject a bit I have a BBC TRANSCRIPTION PROGRAME LP "MOTOWN SINGS THE HITS" VA Mint- nice Record But who collects LPs,once again RARE

Hi all UK issued Soul Hounds "I bet Pe Pete'S is thinking I know Dave will post on this record", To me this is one of the finest UK rarities, has a great pedigree (TORCH PLAY) + there is a early Bootleg of this, however it is not rare?. My last 2 copies were local (Wolves) and a few years back, 1st was a Green & White Demo that I got from John & Malc (the Talc) shop £25 sold it to Mick £30 the same week, and the 2ND come from Pete S completely out of the blue this is the copy on show a small label tare and after a bit of cleaning up (not skimming up) it is very healthy ex - As to value it has 2 selling points 1. it was withdrawn on the same day it was meant to come out? thus making the Stock copy extremely rare 2,. It is a UK record with no US pressing any record with this history makes for a must have, I noticed Mick Has 2 other UK must haves on his EBay sales? as I have never owned a Mint Issue, I would say it would be over the £500 mark easy, I would not sell my copy until I had a better copy but I would not consider any thing under £350 and Even that sound low, as it is rarer than Bauk to Bach MGM Issue and that must be a £300 record now?? DAVE (MORE THAN SKIN DEEP)KIL.
  14. HERES MY NICE MINTY ONE, SOLD THE ISSUE FOR DOUBLE THE PRICE I PAID FOR THIS ONE DAVE(MTSD)KIL

Hi 3 Before 8 :- I remember back in the days of SOUL Mobile Disco,s most up and coming DJ,s use to end the set or the night on an instrumental, many used GREEN ONIONES BOOKER T.When I met Mick Smith properly in 71/2, up until then he was a Stevenage Face, was at the DIVE BAR in Hitchin the resident DJ Billy MAC (Torch goer) used to finish on 2 great endears Earl Van Dyke "the Flick" and Eddie Gorme "Every Body Go Home" I HAVE Always had Wynder K Frogs version of "Green Door" in every set that I have ever played and way back in 71 would end with James Carr "freedom Train" The Spinners "it,s a Shame" and the Adore mention Booker T sometimes it was "Time is Tight" the name of my first mobile Disco was SOUL ASYLUM but hardly ever got any bookings I use to get more BLing for others the worst being the CAZY HAT DISCO yes you have guessed it I had to ware a sombrero?? THIS IS A VERY RARE ADD FROM 68 - 69 WAS MY FIRSI YEAR TO VISIT THE WHEEL (BUCLED HUB) AND ALL MY MEMROBILIA IS IN THE SAME STYLE AND FORMAT AS THIS ADD. THE FANTASTICS WERE ALSO THE FABULUS DRIFTERS AND YHR INVETATIONS WERE THE ORIGANAL TEMPTATIONS? OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. BEN E KING HAD NOT TOURED THE UK SINCE 67 AND GY 69 THE RARE SOUL SCENE WERE DRIFTERS MAD, HENCE THERE REISSUES AND HITS ON BELL WERTE INEVATABLE SUCH WAS THE DEMAND FOR THE DRIFTERS.
