Just looking through Ebay listings lately and have noticed the Frank Wilson - Chris Clark Do I love you latest re issue 45 fetching £10.00 for buy it now and more at auction. Dont know what this is retailing at elsewhere but what numbers have these been pressed in and is £10.00 a good or bad investment for this 45 in your opinion? TMG 1170 has fetched silly money , so will this do the same thing in a few years?

This is the record I want at my funeral when i pop my clogs. IMO the ultimate farewell record sung with huge emotion and can be picked up for little money.

And is there any chance if you (or anyone else who reckons they have an different take to the release) uploading a recording to Soul source to compare.

In my experience dont think there is much difference but most seem to have the same songs on both sides for some reason.

Are DJ / Promo copies allways the same take on the song as the standard issue or are there many exceptions to look for?

That scan Billytheboot has put up is of the Vault boot. It was also booted on Fat Fish and according to Manship "Bootleg is vinyl with white dj design moulded over label.Original release is styrene with stick on slight gloss finish label.Delta #64378in the run out" The one i have is on the UK fantasy label. Great record though.

Mojo also released a pretty good compilation Lp entitled "Workin" which had a topless black woman on the cover with a snake round her neck . Cant remember the track listing but will dig it out my boxes tomorrow and list what it was here.

I dont want to get involved in the politics side of funk bieng played because I dont really know too much about the subject but a great memory i have was at The Locarno All dayer in Birmingham in the mid/late 70s when one of the Djs in the northern room announced he was going to play a funk track and give it a listen.
