  1. It's Nashville Mains stamped on the original. Surely that's the easiest way to tell it from a boot? Regards, Dave
  2. Hi Paul, I've investigated this also but have found that at the moment the cost negates any chance of it happening soon. Graphics however are a different story. Funny how record companies will allow you to show their record labels in order to promote their wares but won't allow you to place snippets of their goods (songs), in multi media to support any promotion of it. For instance...how much would you charge for a snippet (one minute, say), of the Harthon catalogue 45s? Regards, Dave
  3. Sure thing Richard. The note is part of the K of Kimtone and with it being so long it won't fit on a sheet music. Regards, Dave
  4. Yep, #9 is Kimtone. Se ya'll next time.... Regards, Dave
  5. OK - The last label (#9) is a logo that has produced a rare record from a group that has a number of Northern outings under it's belt including an extremely rare one on a Singleton Production. This particular record is also extremely hard to find. Here's a little more of the logo showing a colour scheme that may help ...
  6. Nope. It's a musical note. But is slightly mis-shapen. It wouldn't sit on a five line stave. (Clues over)! Dave
  7. 2 to go.... C'mon S-Sourcers, don't let me down! Regards, Dave
  8. Yes Yes and Thrice Yes. Regards, Dave
  9. Another lighthearted quiz for you... no prizes except Bragging Rights. Only 1 guess per person. ie. You can guess 8 labels for instance but once you post, that's it, you then retire in order to let someone else have a go. I'll try and confirm the correct ones in a timely fashion once they are id's. Regards, Dave 1. Grandland 2. Spar 3. Modern 4. Filmtown 5. Romulus 6. Rampart Street 7. Dig 8. Sepia 9. Kimtone 10.Jameco 11.Tuff 12.Big Wheel 13.Solid State 14.Wild Deuce 15.Oliver 16.Crimson 17.Red Cap 18.Guyden 19.Peri Tone 20.Fame
  10. Cheaper to get one cut yourself! Same provenance as far as the track is concerned. Regards, Dave
  11. Quite possibly. '80 sounds about right. It wasn't a fight as such. He demanded my drugs and money, I clattered him about a bit. Don't think he was a soul fan. Bugger was, I had to leave in case his Mates called the cops. Ah the folly of youth eh? Regards, Dave
  12. Northern Low Point? What'll that be then? Never had one! Oh aye I have, in Notts Palais when I had to straighten out a bumpkin who tried to roll me thinking I was blocked (unfortunately for him, I was straight as a die). He he! Regards, Dave
  13. LP only I'm afraid. Regards, Dave

If it is a multicolred label with the promo text on it and is made of styrene then it is a West Coast Monarch pressed DEMO. If it has the song on both sides then it is certainly a promo. If it has a different song "Stay My Love" on the flip but STILL has the promo text then that 's the one most Motown collectors would prefer. If it's same sided : 75 maybe. If it's double sided 100? That's what I'd pay anyway. Hope this helps. Regards, Dave PS I have the double sided one.
  15. Sorry Kev, It's a trio called New Street Adventure. They have some youtube clips called the Lost Sock Sessions. Regards, Dave
  16. Great stuff. Love seeing younger folks who have proper skills. Substance over style! Great to see that "video didn't kill ALL the radio stars". Thanks for posting, will chase down more by them. Regards, Dave
  17. The full story of Donald White is told in the upcoming book I'm tweaking as we speak. He gave a lot of work to a lot of people who would go on to make great music a few years later. Regards, Dave
  18. I'd have bought it simply for the provenance of having been recorded at Frank Virtues, which is why I was watching it but I had $50 in mind. It's now over 500 so....that's the end of that. Regards, Dave
  19. It may well be as I haven't the 45 but compared it to a youtube vid which made the Ebay one sound very 'fuller' especially at the bottom end, with that 'chink' a lot more profound. At $430 it's a bit of mute point now for me as that has completely scared me off! Regards, Dave
  20. It's a different version, or at least a different mix though I think? Unless the audio is simply poor quality? I was watching it when it first showed with a view to maybe bidding but it's gone plain daft now. Regards, Dave
  21. Excellent news! Having really enjoyed Part 1, looking forward to it Mark. Regards, Dave
  22. Err....That's why I just spent half an hour sorting it out? Good records, bad records or even brilliant records is all a matter of taste but the manner in which a member posted about another members playlist was deemed unacceptable and sorted. Can we now PLEASE move on. Regards, Dave
  23. Sara/Ryan, I'll play it at Bar Internacional on 22nd if you can get down. Regards, Dave
  24. Thread now reopened after member reminded about terms and conditions of use. Have taken the liberty of removing what were deemed by the site to be abusive remarks and this unfortunately led to me removing many of the other members posts too for continuity for which I apologise but the thread made no sense without the original posts. If any Member objects to me removing a particular post feel free to email me for a fuller explanation as to why it was necessary. Your help is appreciated. Regards, Dave
  25. Thanks for the responses guys. Appreciate it. Hopefully, I'm sorted as Phil Dick is gonna fill the gaps for me. Regards, Dave
