  1. Most likely that price should've been £25. It hardly ever sells for more than $30 on eBay and Craig Moerer has got more than 20 M- copies in stock at the moment priced at $40 each. Manship is charging £30 for it.

Little Beaver's version of "Do It To Me One More Time" is on SAADIA as well, it's the flipside to "Blind Man" (or were we talking about "Somebody Done Took My Baby And Gone"? ). Not as good as Joey Gilmore's version in my opinion, but shares the same basic backing track.

Perhaps it had two runs on SAADIA? I've only ever seen one label variation of it though. I used to have it on both SAADIA and PHIL-L.A. OF SOUL and also sold my Saadia copy because it sounded very muffled and was lacking in the high end frequencies.
  4. The original is on vinyl. The styrene bootleg has got different label lettering and delta number 103548 in the run-out groove. The vinyl bootleg has got a small TUFF logo in regular letters. ORIGINAL: VINYL BOOTLEG:
  5. Only about 2-3 hours left on these auctions now. Thanks for looking! :-)
  6. There's only one Butlers 45 released on PARKWAY, so in that case it must be the one above. Vocally it sounds nothing like their other 45s though. Will post up soundclips later today of the Parkway 45. I think that the Butlers 45 on PARKWAY is The British Walkers under a different name. It sounds like them, and the British Walkers 45 on CAMEO is also produced by "Poe - Sandusky - Corday".
  7. You're probably right. Just did some further research on the producer credits "Poe - Sandusky - Corday". Bobby Poe, Vernon Sandusky and Mitch Corday were all members of rockabilly/rock group The Chartbusters from 1959 onwards. More info here: https://poekat.blogsp...-leader-of.html Mitch Corday later formed The British Walkers.
  8. I've always assumed that the PARKWAY 148 release of "Shop Around" b/w "It's A Fine Time" from 1967 credited to The Butlers was the Frank(ie) Beverly gang. But upon finally hearing the 45 I don't really know... It's got two totally fuzz drenched garage rock tunes and one of them has got serious psych leanings. One side is a cover of the Miracles classic. Was it just a case of Cameo/Parkway cashing in on the Butlers name with another group when Frank Beverly left for Sassy/Gamble? Or perhaps the Parkway disc indeed is by Frank Beverly and co, but it seems unlikely. I've noticed that this 45 isn't mentioned in either the Manship or Brown/Koppel guides. Does anyone know what the deal is?
  9. I've got some Flaming Arrow 45s that looks similar to the Nancy Butts 45. All of the ones I've got features late 70s or early 80s recordings. Here are some of them:
  10. There's now about 2 days left on these auctions.
  11. Don't know if I'd say that he was diluting it, but Vic Waters sure gave it a go on one of his Penn/Oldham produced CRAZY HORSE 45s.
  12. I think Nick Lowe's version from 2001 is superb (as is that entire album, "The Convincer").

  14. £100+ seems a bit optimistic to me. Without doubt an in-demand 45, but a Highland 7"copy sold for $9.99 a couple of days ago on eBay, so can still be had cheap if you look around.
  15. Original has got the following matrix markings: RDS 45-7225-1 DMRS 720603 Re-issue has got the following matrix markings: NR-21150-A RDS-33- 7225-A G
  16. Yes, must've sold quite well upon release. Two different label designs for the STAR WEST release and also a 7" and 12" issue on HIGHLAND. Can't find a label scan for the second STAR WEST label design at the moment, but here are the other three:
  17. Has anyone on here got a copy of the "Heeey Baby Days Of Beach Music" book for sale (complete with the two CDs)? Either still sealed or in as new condition. Please, PM me if you do and let me know how much you want for it including airmail shipping to Sweden. Big thanks in advance.
  18. Ofcourse there is a label and a label owner. Flaming Arrow was a well established label owned and run by Eugene Davis. He wrote that Nancy Butts 45. He produced it as well. I think we can be pretty sure that he had the rights to do whatever he felt like doing with those tunes. He kept releasing records on Flaming Arrow from the late 60s well into the 80s (if not even 90s). The tunes on the Nancy Butts 45 are not registered with BMI, but many of the later Crow and Flaming Arrow tunes aren't. Just because a tune isn't listed with BMI, ASCAP etc. doesn't mean that no one owns the rights to the recording.
  19. There's a movie about the legendary 78 collector Joe Bussard called "Desperate Man Blues". Very good and interesting in my opinion. An excerpt:
  20. Was originally issued on US Salsoul as 7" and 12" and also on UK Underworld as 7" and 12". See scans below. The US 7" usually goes for £75-£100. The US 12" and the UK 7" usually sells for £30-£50. The UK 12" fetches a bit more than the UK 7". Not booted as far as I know, but was reissued on UK label Suss'd about 5 years ago. US 7": US 12": UK 7":
  21. Only 1-2 hours left on these auctions now. Thanks for looking! :-)
  22. SORRY! Don't know what happened there with the multi-posts! It is indeed Peter & The Infinits (note: no E in Infinits), issued on the RUVAL label. Both sides have been comped on garage rock comps. Nice moody down-and-out type of tune. Always been a cheap 45 the times I've seen it. Here are some scans from a recent eBay auction:
