  4. Heres the scan for you Hymes.pdf
  5. You are correct Chalks I have a copy. Its Tonny Hymes and the Soul People on Azbill (red label with Black lettering). Flip side is Jeannie which is an uptempo shuffler kind of R&B meets choppy crossover. I vaguely remember discussing Hymes with Garry Cape as he was in contact with him looking to possibly release the uptempo Fredrick Hymes version on grapevine. Hymes was working as a Hunting Guide at the time and wasn't interested in discussing either record, but eventually he said bothn were him and the slow version on Azbill was the original cut. All this was about 10 years ago so and memory is fading now I'll post a scan later.
  6. I sold a VG+ copy on Quality to a member on here for £350 Hope that helps
  7. I PM'd you......do you want the record ?
  8. When I sell records on here (which is not too often) I generally sell well below dealer 'book price'. People forget that a dealer has overheads (staff, premises, stock, cash flow etc) to account for as well as trying to make a profit. As collectors we dont really have that problem. As a general rule I look at the price guides, look at other sales lists and take a view from there. Usually as a general rule of thumb my sale price works out about 50 -60% of the 'book price'. However I do agree that I look at the sales pages and say WTF when I see some of the prices asked, particularly for relatively common records. I dont comment on the sales post, but I sometimes wonder where they get the price from as they are somtimes top whack and then some.
  9. Thats probably the one I saw Bob.
  10. I think there are some 45's by the Hollywood Saxons which may have been booted as I've seen ones with coloured wax. Boot / reissue ??
  11. You are correct Bob. Most of the people mentioned on the Ron Rush Aidco 45 were also involved on the Brothers Aquarious on Aidqueen outing. I assumed there was a connection but didnt realise Ron Rush was the main man running the show. Just a little observation. The vocals on the Ron Rush 45 I have sound a little "west indian" in accent if you get what I mean ? Don't know the background of Ron Rush but often wondered if he had gone to the US from the islands. Maybe though its just the sound recording, which is a little basic.
  12. The Ron Rush 45 is pretty rare. He and the others involved in the 45 I have are also involved on the Brothers Aquarious (?) on Adiqueen.
  13. I PM'd you on the Ron Rush. Andy
