I liked that rambling album he put out years ago, "The Headphone Masterpiece", particularly the track "The Seed". I can't hang with the album these days though, so got rid of it a while back, agree good voice, will try to check out the new stuff.

nice, don't have that one. there are so many great cheap Ray Charles sides on ABC. I must have at least 20 different ones & just stopped picking them up because enough is enough. Essentially anything Jimmy Lewis or Jimmy Holiday related by Ray from this period can be bought blindly (no pun intended) & will mostly end up being great.

the flip of that also came out on it's own ABC 45, b/w Hopelessly. that French Stateside is a nice pairing.

also add Volt 4047 - Bernie Hayes - Cool Strut Produced by Gene Anderson, Jerry-O & Bernie Hayes. This and the other Bernie Hayes track are I think Oliver Sain related also. Either Chicago or St Louis things. Getting to Volt through Don Davis. Cool Strut at least has Popcorn Wylie, Junior Wells & Buddy Guy on it.

I always wanted to know if the Bobby Rush track "Let Me Love You" exists without half the instruments (vocals, one of the guitars) missing, would love a complete track of that on 45. That I can hear Bobby's lead vocal & guitar slightly bleeding through just serves to tease me
