  5. I'm the boss...
  6. Closer gap than the leave EU vote.... Johnny is just a bit more 'raw ' and edges it on the dancefloor. Artistics are a top top group though and Hope we have, is a top 10 belter.
  7. Some great tunes, thanks. As a 14 year old, and going to the nappy nights at baileys, this got played and changed everything. Bigger boys...and girls who must have been to all nighters crowded the dancefloor and strutted their stuff. I had to join that crowd..and did. Its always going to be important to me: Ed
  8. I'm not sure things are any different now than they were 40 years ago. A successful promoter can make a good living. Wanting to be one, and actually being one, are poles apart. In this neck of the woods, I've seen the Lord Conyers pub being packed to the rafters, and just a handful in. Stop start, different promoters, different policies. Rare, handbag, and everything in between. I imagine it's the same in every town. The strong do survive... 100 club, Whitby, Prestatyn, SITS, chill out Donny, etc. Ed
  9. What an awful disease. None of us know what's around the next corner, so make every minute count. I hope Mitch did not suffer too much. RIP. Ed
  10. Here is a writer producer and the most famous song..

  14. Not being a DJ, I was not looking for a play list.. Just a contribution to NORTHERN but not necessarily SOUL.. Ed
  15. Back in the day... Not many 14 year olds were political or opionated... They just danced danced danced.. Ignorance can be bliss! Ed
  16. Of course it's a bonus if a track has some soul to justify the classification, but so many Northern tracks are all all about power, danceability, and exclusivity, that sometimes the soul is on a back burner.. For example : It's simply NS.. Add to the list. Ed
  17. I mean what is this all about? As a 14 year old wanna be NS Freak...you had to go along with it, but seriously, this is music you could only really appreciate if you were there and surrounded by devotees who made it a monster.... Ed
