  2. Dave, give me his details full name, location etc. and i will name and shame on the show mate no problem, this is just too much, when is all this gonna stop? and when are Ebay/Paypal gonna do something about this type of stuff, they claim to have security measures set in place yet situations like this seem to continue. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  3. Most enjoyable television, nothing much in there that i did'nt already know....one thing that did come out of it for me was to confirm that i really don't like Robert Elms...still who does? always comes across as a self professed 'know it all' like he invented youth culture, still as with all television such as this the makers often feel that they have to give the subject matter 'street cred' and i guess people like 'Elms' who have an opinion on everything yet basically know very little or rather know enough to blag an interview and say sod all to add to the subject will always be included and contribute. All in all a most enjoyable hour of television. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  4. No Hesitation....lol sorry had to get that one in, but a clue to who i would like with me on my desert island.......Falcons, Hestitations,Volumes, Artistics, Ethics, Volcanos, Servicemen, O'Jays, Dells, Masqueraders........one on every street corner on my island....lol Regards - Mark Bicknell
  5. Hard one to call this, of course it's a big no no to duplicate an issued rare record as you say but unissued material may be slightly different, the only example i can give is Ady Croasdell has given his blessing on some of the Ace/Kent material as it's a way to promote the tunes to a bigger audience, stuff like Tobi Lark - True True Love for example from 'The Dave Hamilton' Detroit CD simply has to be heard, so if a CD player is not available at the gigs then what do we do? personally i've been playing such tracks on the show directly off the CD again simply because these tracks have to be heard and will continue to do so, i think as long as you ask say Ady if you can cut a dub and it's ok to do so then there should be no major problem i think when the mass production of said dubs and openly selling them on Ebay etc. is bang out of order and the people who wish to take short cuts and dub some of the current big allnighter records, then go out there and play them is when the grey area sets in and simply pisses people off with the real deal original records. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  6. Mark, as long as you source who owns the licence for the recorded work i.e. who owns the publishing and go through the correct channel's and pay the dues where they are due then you should not have a problem, someone like Ady Croasdell i'm sure would point you in the right direction or you can take the easy less popular route which has been a regular topic on here...lol Regards - Mark Bicknell.

Most of the lads in North Wales, Small Paul, Mark Speakman, Chico, Phil Blacknell, Richie Andrew, all got decent record collections and top blokes, made me feel so welcome when i moved to Wales mid 80's. Regards - Mark Bicknell.

Here, here to the 90 min set, long overdue, the few bookings i do these days i offer a 90 min option which i adore doing, i did almost two hours at 'The Attic' in Mansfield back in November last year and it was a blast, us true professionals can hack it i feel...lol, the half hour, 45 min set is a waste of time as you can't develop a spot, you just get into the right groove and it's all over, well done boys, James, Dave etc. for creating the longer sets, i'm sure the DJ's you book will benifit as DJ's and of course the gigs will be perhaps far more cohesive in terms of digging deep in the boxes and taking the crowds on a journey, building it up, taking it to the bridge and then well just doing it basically, fantastic news and i hope this is the start of longer sets to come nationwide. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  21. Ady John Manship has a DJ copy of 'Lou Courtney' on his site for twenty quid if that helps, i'm sure he will lend it to you...lol Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  22. Seen more demo's of this one, stocker seems to be harder to find but another record where there's not alot in it money wise? Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  23. Sadly no Simon, i don't think the scan here is my old copy though as you could hardly see the credits on mine, i bought the record in the mid 80's from Mark White who posts on here for about forty quid sold it for about three hundred back in about 1990 alongside 'The Empires' on Candi to the same person, i think it was about £800.00 for the pair a lot of coin then and i know before anyone say's anything a 'Gene Toones' stocker has to be worth 2 or 3 grand today, come to think of it the Empires aint far off that is it....lol Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  24. --> QUOTE(Geoff B @ Jan 23 2007, 07:37 PM) link Is this ok for ya. Beautiful demo i have an issue but still got this one on a demo, would be nice to have the pair of them...lol Mark Bicknell.
  25. Another hard call between issue and demo, the demo is a far safer bet when it comes up for auction, were there not Orange demo's as well on this? and of course it was pressed as a 'look - a- like' way back, beautiful demo with 'Sad Sam' on the flip. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
