  2. Thanks for trying Brian!!
  3. Still looking please folks...........
  4. Impossible to read.
  5. Earnest King - You Gonna Miss Me (LK) VG+ £80 Fantastic, funky uptempo growler, with a killer sax break. Few light scuffs and marks, no problems. Presume this is the same as King Ernest on Sonic?
  6. Please PM if you have one of these lying around. Thanks.
  7. The label is rife with superb funk and soulful offerings.
  8. Cheapest I've ever seen it.
  9. Markw replied to a post in a topic in Record Wants
    Exactly.
  10. It was Sebastian Williams on Ovide - "Get Your Point Over" that one of them had. Pretty sure your original posting didn't specify which Sebastian Williams and I just assumed the Ovide 45 as it is 'in demand', as they say. Good luck.
  11. Not Wee3 please, only Wheelsville with "Love Of My Life" on the other side. PM if you have a decent copy at a decent price you are willing to let go. Thank you.
  12. Try Steve Plumb (https://www.soulmusic.co.uk/) or Dean Anderton (https://www.midastouchsoul.co.uk/). Pretty sure one of them had a copy at the Dab Of Soul weekender just gone.
  13. Hi All Was with Gary Samways at the Llandudno weekender. He has posted this evening on Facebook that he has got back home to Swindon and he has been burgled. His entire collection (about 3,000 records) built up over 35+ on the scene is the only thing that has been pinched; as such, he surmises that it must be someone who knows him, knows about his collection and has some idea what to do with it. He is still getting his head around all this. The Police have been there and apparently been as helpful as they can be. Needless to say, our thoughts are with the guy. Any ideas, info, etc gratefully received. Feel free to message me at this stage if you have any info about a collection being offered, sudden items coming up from someone who perhaps you would not expect (some rare items in there - Gary has never sold a thing in his 35+ years of collecting), or any whispers you might have heard. I will pass on to Gary. Or, if you know Gary (I am sure many on here do), feel free to contact him direct on here or via FB. Please keep it to hard facts and info rather than general tips and advice. Thanks.
  14. Boom! Boom!!
  15. Flop flops? Is that 2 lefts or 2 rights?
  16. Thought you would wade into this debate at some point.....................
  17. On page 4, he mentions a Partridge Family album he did this on - I can see where he's coming from with the Partridge Family, but my Moses Dillard in going to stay a little worn.....thanks anyway.
  18. Total magic. A brilliant record.
  19. Charles flipping Sheffield................I'd work my voodoo on that git, given half a chance...........and the bigger git playing it.
  20. Sounds like Mr T on gear.
  21. Great price on Dr Soul.
  22. It's not even oldies vs. newies. Pretty much all of them are oldies anyway - it's just that they are the same oldies! (with some other quite odd selections thrown in from what I read). I shouldn't complain. I just don't bother going.
  23. The choice is hardly inspiring in South West (and South Wales) though Dean. Apart from your venue, Soul Alley at Glos a/n (too infrequent) and Seriously Soulful (ditto), the rest is pretty much the usual, depressingly predictable mix of the same DJs churning out the same records time and time and time and time again........................
  24. A fairly rare record. Doubt it was ever booted. I had a green label, which was not in great nick and upgraded with a blue label. Suspect they are simply different pressing runs.
