  6. Maybe you should have titled the thread simply "Ever had your records stolen" We are simple people at the end of the day (although I hasten to add, I haven't gone off topic .... infact I love them more now than I ever did, the chewy nougat, caramel, nuts & chocolate )
  7. In spite of my horror at this man's stage strop towards the band at the TAC Yarmouth Weekender, I forgive him every time I hear this record..... it just crumbles me https://youtu.be/4bgpsug-IW8

  12. Do you mean these ones Dave ? Excuse the @rse ... Excuse the face .... Eeh, life was fun when I was a little lad
  13. 1. Mary Love Comer performing Come Out of the Sandbox at the 1993 Cleethorpes Weekender. The first live artist to make me cry (only cried to 2 other live artists & they're not mentioned here) 2. Bobby Womack at KGH, Blackburn about 3 years ago - I was stood right at the front, & his courage & determination (after battling Cancer less than a month before) shone through. His health issues meant he wasn't 100% vocal wise, but it didn't matter, his performance was incredible, lasting about 2 and a half hours without a break, his manager had to practically drag him off stage as Bobby wanted to carry on (It felt like Bobby thought it may have been his last ever performance, thankfully it wasn't !!!). 3. Debbie Taylor at The Wilton last year - Never before in my life have I heard an artist sing better than the record! She was superb, with a great sense of humour to match (not that a GSOH matters when listening to a song) There are other artists who have moved me, and I feel mean for listing only 3, when others should be up there too, but have to draw the line somewhere, so that's where it's drawn
  14. I'm with you Martin, in that it's better than the original. Cheers for spinning it at Scarborough & will you thank your Honey for letting me know what it was, as I was too busy dancing to come over & ask you myself
  15. Only just seen this, as I have been pxssing about elsewhere on the site Happy Twenty Fourteen Mike, The Mods, & the rest of the lovely rabble on here! Here's to lots more cyber soul fun All the best Ali xx
  16. This is a great photo that I took of two of my favourite men, my best buddy Mick & the wonderful Al Johnson who I'm sure is resting in paradise
  17. Oh my gosh so it is Harry!!! They both look fab, as they do nowadays , Christine does look about 10 on the photo though Wonderful girls !!!!!
  18. Merry Christmas to Mike & The Soul Source Team!! This site is truly my favourite one & To my fellow Soul Source rascals, A Very Merry Christmas to you lot as well Have a good one & here's to more cyber fun & frolics in 2014 !!! Lots of love & Christmas kisses Ali xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  19. I actually disagree with making the whole thread about Charity only. Sadly, I do think people would switch off if that was the case, whereas Sooty's bonkers posts are keeping people interested/entertained/wound up & that in a round about way is good for any Charity work. Sooty, to me, leads a very interesting life, & the self promotion that people seem to take offence to is all in the name of charity & doing good for others. I could understand people's grievances if Sooty was trying to promote his own nighter/weekender, but to me all he's doing is raising awareness on others plights & sharing his experiences along the way & I enjoy that element of his posts
  20. Hey Toc I wasn't having a go at you. I've seen many posts on here whereby others think they have the right to demand people's soul credentials before they are given a seal of approval & that's what I was getting at. Sorry for not making myself clear, my comment was not aimed at you. Once again, Good Luck with it all & Merry Christmas to you Ali x
  21. Hi Toc I don't need "History" or "Proof" about you or Sooty, no one has the right to demand this of you (unless they're donating a fair chunk of money maybe), it's foolish twaddle, soul credentials ffs Good luck with it all Ali x
  22. As I've said before Sooty, carry on doing what you're doing fella I enjoy reading your posts (even though they make me bog eyed sometimes .... ok, bog eyed all the time ) People don't have to read your threads, and there is a good tool whereby people can select not to see ANY of your posts, but I don't think many will select that option, as despite all the constant putting down of you & your posts (which I know you can handle) it does keep things interesting, and people will still want to have their say , like Pete S has commented you are like a breath a fresh air on here ..... & it's fun to see that some people can't handle it Good luck to you & all the others involved with your Charity Soul Work, & to those who aren't interested in this .............. go read another thread
  23. I am enjoying your write ups Sooty a bit off the wall at times but fun nevertheless Keep doing what you're doing Ali x Edit: Great tune as well !!!
  24. Good for you Sooty! Such a great thing for you to do, with a healthy portion of the proceeds going to worthy causes!! Make sure you don't sell the copies I've reserved though!! :o) Enormous luck on Saturday mate x
