You will find that many sellers refuse to send to any address but the one you have registered with you Paypal account. So if you're registered with an UK address they will send to that one only. Ebay calculates postages automatically most of the time, which means it uses the address from your Ebay account. And if that's a UK one you'll get UK postage invoiced.

The Mayer Hawthorne 4" record came with a CD and was never sold as a stand-alone product. So yes, more like a gimmick.

I had Terry Collier signing a couple of albums for me which made them priceless to me. Once bought a Jimmy Witherspoon album, condition WOC. Turned out it was his autograph. Also have Mike & Ray if only you knew on Giant, signed by both.

Can't imagine any Beatles, Stones, Dylan etc. record being worth less because it's signed by the artist(s).

There's a boot of the original promo listed on Discogs. Apart from the modern looking typeface used for the boot the most obvious difference is text in black on the boot, blue on the original.

I agree with that. And it's not just sending to UK. I have a number of german soul releases on my Discogs wants list which are listed by US sellers for fair prices. Yet, they dont ship to Germany.
