  2. Tape? Where are you staying? In the 1970s? They're probably using Spotify and some random bar/restaurant playlist.

  4. Not out right garage in my opinion. Chicano band heavily influenced by Thee Midniters. Great record.
  5. This one sits right on the fence. I filed my copy under Garage but many would under Northern.
  6. AI itself is sure no novelty. But I believe that AI generated Northern Soul is one. People will soon lose interest in it.
  7. Same band, same album:
  8. Of course, I was just referring to the "fooled a few people for a while" bit.
  9. Yes, because these “few people” were either half deaf or just plain dumb. It was so obvious that Four Vandals was a new production.
  10. Bit A Sweet was a HUGE spin on the Mod scene in the early 2k's. Infact I'd class it as freakbeat and not garage or even northern.

I agree with that. And it's not just sending to UK. I have a number of german soul releases on my Discogs wants list which are listed by US sellers for fair prices. Yet, they dont ship to Germany.
  12. Sorry, it didn't. From what I remember it never came out in the US (and probably would have been on Le Cam anyway). Pic shows german Vibraton release. it also came out in numerous continental countries on different labels from what I recall.
  13. Yes. It’s a demo of the legit belgian release. It came out in a number of countries. US, UK, France, Belgium, Germany etc.

two bobbys from me: bobby sheen - something new to do/may not be what you want bobby reed - time is right for love/if i didn't love you
  15. Thanks for your input. Billy Sha Rae shares the same backing with September Jones. Eddie Parker seems to be mainly based on the same backing track but it's not the very same. That's why it was so familiar to me but yet I couldn't place it.
  16. As above, Eddie Parker - I need a true love shares the same backing with??? Can't remember. Please help. Thanks!
  17. sorry, urban myth. it's the shape of the stylus that causes needle burn, if its shape is not suitable for back cueing. any "dj" stylus is fine but many regular stereo stylus not.
  18. You guys realize it's much harder to do a decent set w/out talking than with talking?
  19. Just looked up it up. Didn‘t know you where a hip hop dj and into scratching, mixing and extensive back cueing.
  20. No, it‘s the stylus
  21. I‘ve been dj-ing for over 30 years and never had any issues back cueing records with anti-skating set correctly.

I‘ve been mixing my own cleaning fluid for quite some time. My formula is 7 parts distilled water and 3 parts 100% ispropanol, i.e. 70% and 30%. plus a drop or two of dish detergent.
  23. As said, up to you how you set up decks. care to explain why you think it‘s ok to leave anti skating off?
