  1. Looks like a reissue from around the same time as they reissued kenard what did you gain by that b/w entertainers iv - my garden of eden (early/mid 70s?). i recall original stampers were used for kenard/entertainers iv, i.e. reissue has same delta no. as the original. same here?
  2. Little bump. Auctions ending this coming sunday evening...
  3. Benji replied to a post in a topic in All About the SOUL
Worth pointing out that it's not possible to send or receive 'gift' payments when registered in Germany. If this also applies to other countries, I don't know. I only started recently to charge %4 fees for any payment below 20 quid as the majority of my sales are below that amount and I eventually lose lot of money (Paypal charges me more for any payment in GBP than in EUR!). But I don't see any point to charge extra for fees for anything over 20 odd quid. That's just greedy.
  4. Gareth, thanks for all the info. Safe to assume my copy isn't the mispress I didn't know how different both takes are but your description helped me to get a picture if you know what I mean.
  5. Can somebody please supply run out groove details of the alt. take west coast mispress of Shop Around that John Manship has just put up on auction? I have a west coast press myself but to be honest am not familiar enough with the song to hear if I have the alt. take or not. Thanks Benji
  6. The french singer Richard Anthony (i.e. not the guy on the Virtue 45) had a few releases on french Tamla-Motown and on german as well I think. He also had at least one release on US Motown, one of the sub-labels I think. Many many moons ago I had a few Richard Anthony tracks on a tape, I recall them all being pop apart from one good stomper, or am I wrong?
  7. I've always found Emanuel Laskey a bit odd. Whether Emanuel is a good or bad first name is up to personal taste. But how on earth did a black singer from Detroit end up with a typical east prussian/polish surname?
  8. I'm fine with that, as long as you don't mention the war
  9. Funny you mention that, I had problems with about 7-8 buyers over the last few months. All these buyers either paid very slowly or not at all. All came from the UK. A cultural thing maybe?

  13. Chalky, (belated) thanks for the link. I'll give it a try tonight...
  14. I agree, lead singer obviously influenced a lot by Edwin Starr yet he sounds like the same lead as on many (if not all) other Shades of Blue recordings. BTW, Shades of Blue are online. Click here
  15. No need to get sarcastic just because you're wrong and I'm right
  16. you mean, to leave neg feedback for not violating the law?
  17. Might be worth pointing out that Ebay UK changed their mind. Ebay US never had a "free post on media" thing (as far as i remember) but introduced a $4.00 limit to postage last year (or was it two years ago?). I recently sold 20 odd discs on Ebay UK with free postage to see if free p&p would increase or decrease sales. Couldn't really see any difference.
  18. last bump. auctions ending tonight. no or low bids on all items so have yourself a bargain or two....
  19. seconded.

  21. If you're referring to me, I recently posted I was looking for one. I didn't get one but was told that Jazzman Records just made a similar one which I bought and am quite happy with it. check Jazzman website for details.
  22. Seconded, issue is very rare! Great track, one of my alltime favourites. Does anyone know if the original 60s videoclip of it is somewhere on the net? Features some weird psychedelic effects and a half naked Toni Basil dancing
