-
Josephine Taylor
No, as Bri says, more a collectors piece.. Really nice record btw ATB Greg..
-
El Anthony - La Cindy
I tend to agree with you on the lyrics and vocal on this but.. I love the backing track so it's Tomorrows Men 'Who's That Lady' I'd go for everytime - better value imho ATB Greg..
-
List Of Cheapies & Bargains - Will Trade
The flip of this is also a good funk tune - 'Fifth Street' Regards, Greg.

Top Quality 70's And Crossover
Good price for this one. Getting increasingly difficult to find now interest is picking up on it.. ATB Greg.
-
Four Tracks - Like My Love For You
I think most people buy it for the much better, imho, "VOO DOO MAN" side But it doesn't warrant the price as far as I'm concerned, there are just too many around and who knows how many more the seller has.. About £200 should be the price all things be equal. ATB Greg.

While Youre Looking For Sugar
A cheap one to pick up too.. ATB Greg.

Which Lucky Bugger Is Selling This?
This looks either a silly or ridiculous at best.. One bidder identified as u***s ( 5 ) is pushing the price up with about 13 bids and another bidder i***w ( 254) responds periodically.. The only other two bidders dropped out at £9 Make your own mind up as to how genuine or stupid this is... ATB Greg.

Price Please
That's sounds about right - stunning tune and with the vocal b-side it's got to be worth around 3 ton.. ATB Greg.

A Dozen At Only Eight Quid Each
Hi Des, some nice items for the price.. But for our US members bucks isn't dollars me thinks, but £gbp

How Many Versions & Your Favourite
I have to say of all versions I adore Justine Washington on Sue.. This version has a beautiful quality to it - soul meets laid back jazz - nice! ATB Greg.
-
Diane Pine Lucky Girl And Others For Sale
I think this one is relatively well known by collectors but not so well known elesewhere - it's certainly an under appreciated tune. It has an attractive naive production quality - check out the sax break - and it chugs away very nicely imho ATB Greg.

Chuck Bridges (Plus A Couple More)
That's the acetate pre - scoop release is it not?
-
Sunlovers On Ebay
Almost certain Joan.. Guy uses second account to bid up the item - all too common.. Regards Greg.

Toots & Maytals
Cheers Toad. ATB Greg

Toots & Maytals
Hi, Can anybody tell me if Toots & The Maytals cover of 'Louie Louie' is featured on any of their 7" releases? Or is it only available on LP (Funky Kingston?) Thanks in advance.. Greg.

30 + Assorted Tunes With Soundbites
Hi Keith, Great tune. Is this the Nation or the Decca release and what's the condition? Cheers Greg.
-
Chuck Bridges (Plus A Couple More)
Hi Phil, Mine hasn't got the "DJ Copy" written on it. Think there are 2 variations of the label (issue & promo?): 1. Usual credits "DJ Copy" in pen 2. Usual credits plus 'DJ Copy' printed on the left side of the label and 'Not For Sale' on the right. Regards Greg.

Chuck Bridges (Plus A Couple More)
I missed that Seb !! Sorry about that Andy - corrected twice Definitely: Chuck Bridges - Don't You Make Me Cry - Scoop 03 Brilliant tune mate. Hope you get one.. ATB Greg.
-
Chuck Bridges (Plus A Couple More)
Hi Andy, The label is 'Scoop' ATB Greg.
-
Charles Allen - We Got Love (Greedy)
No Kieran, Different tune, this one is a relatively rare cut great 70's big production dancer. This is a good price for a record that is quite tuff now. There is a rarer version on 'EJA' that has a more raw production but I haven't seen one for sale for a long time.. ATB Greg.

Creations- A Dream- Zodiac
Seconded. The Creations version is the Bros Of Soul I believe, but the Zodiac take is less polished/produced than the Shock take. You pay your money and you take your choice - but The Creations is the more scarce imho Cheers Greg.

First Heard On Kent Lp's
The Kent compilations have been a revelation since their inception. The 'For Dancers Only' compilation is still a treasured possession and introduced so many great tunes and artists to my ears; Mary Love, Felice Taylor and ZZ Hill to name a few. ATB Greg.

Pure Funk Nothing Left Is Real
Yes, been around and known, but not on the mainstream 'northern scene' (whatever that is ;-) More a funk / rare groove scene tune but definitely one I enjoy. Not quite got the crossover appeal of say Wally Coco on Florentine but still a goody. It's in Refo Mike, so for anyone that's not heard it before, here's the refo clip: Pure Funk - Nothing Left Is Real - Planet Earth ATB Greg.

Chuck Brooks
It is a fast un Dave, which may not suit all, but it's certainly in keeping with the the playlists across the Channel and in Japanese collectors market - oh and dahn sarf wiv Tim et al ATB Greg.
