mixcloud- royalties
noticed on mixcloud that the track identifiyer, that pops up to ident a track often gives you the option of buying music, but Sometimes the artist aren't the originals! for instance bob James's classic 'nautilaus just popped up on a mix by..... Copycat?? this has happened on several tracks before, does it mean that the orginal artist wont get credit or funds for the prospective purchase??

Biggest Nighter Tunes Of The Last Ten Years
I was thinking about this point, the real problem is the lack of a big central venue thats progressive, especially since we've no lifeline now, it came real close to being just that.

Biggest Nighter Tunes Of The Last Ten Years
ist difficult for anyones exclusives to be considered big sounds, how can they be if only one dj is playing them? big sounds for that dj, but on the whole scene? some have already pointed out that sounds filter down, but how can they if the're one off and were talking ovo here?

cold blood
rock with brass was all the rage back in the late 6ts/early 7ts, love it myself, the best and most successful being Blood, sweat and tears

Most expensive "common" records
bit like motors tune though, once you get one you start to notice them everywhere, especially if its something you weren't aware of till you purchased a copy.

Most expensive "common" records
5 years ago you'd be hard pushed to get £20 for it.

Most expensive "common" records
not wanting to part with certain tunes comes into play too, Is it just that certain keep fetching the prices so they keep getting bug out of colections where as others languish because they don't reflect there true rarity in terms of sales. Conversely I've picked up a few tunes that are unfashionable now , but I couldn't get a sniff at in the 80'sbecause they were getting played and too pricey for me.

that would have been my first all nighter then, Rodger is a top bloke just typical of the many characters and genuine soul folk that made up the scene back then.- Do you play your records at home
I read Frankie knuckles say that its all in the sequence, whatever the musical style, heard so many northern jocks get this wrong over the years, and i'm anal enough to apply it at home too.- New(ish) Paypal scan and Ebay antics
think I've got something similar going on at the moment with a sale- Richard Searing. Extended Motown Records
have to agree with the 6ts/ 7ts call Ian, its not historic prejudice, but you just have a lot less to work with, 6ts songs tend to be shorter anyway with a tighter song structure, and edits tend to seem very obvious and a little cheesy, I'm sure there's plenty that break that rule though . - All About The Soul? Well- Sort Of
