  1. Looking back I was let out toooo young by my parents I am glad I was but I won't make that mistake with my kids as I don't want them doing anything I did. Denise XX
  2. Richard Sterling use to play this on his soul show all the time. Got it on loads of tapes. Denise xx
  3. There was never any coaches from were I lived. I had to endure British Rail, the train even caught fire once when I was on it. Later on I was lucky enough to get a lift. Them were the day the drug squad use to be at wigan station them days you could pull the emergency stop and the train would stop you could open the door and jump out before you got there.
  4. Willie Mercer and Stewart Spence from Scotland. Girl dancer and spinner I would say Fran from Stockport.
  5. When the casino closed and it eventually hit me I was heartbroken that is why I attended the extra nights. I remember Steve Whittle telling me Russ Winstanley went into hand the keys over and they told he had to give so much more that is why the extra dates were booked. There was alot of rumors at the time that the casino was going to reopen but then it caught fire. With hindsight now and being older I wish I had not gone.
  6. I went to see Tommy Hunt live as well just before it closed and it was announced it was being recorded for an album which never materialised.. It was announced over the mike how many there was at Wigan Tiffs but I cannot remember how many they said. I heard at the time that Richard Sterling had gone on holiday after the casino had closed and had booked Wigan Tiffs before he went and when he came back he found the casino was one at the same time. I am sure there had been one more allniter planned at the casino but at the very last one it was announced there was no more. I know alot of people who never went again after the (End of the Era) allnighter as they felt ripped off.
  7. The last allnighter at the casino was on Friday 4th December 1981. I wrote it down in my photograph album at the time. I heard by word of mouth but I know alot people at the time probably heard from Black Echoes. I do believe though that the last night should have ended in September (End of an Era) when everybody had brought tickets expecting it to be the last one.
  8. I don't like to lose - Cecil Washington is Wigan Casino
  9. Mark I am sure I have got that record in my box, will have a look Denise
  10. I hate to say this but I do not remember putting my ticket in a bin them days I would have just thrown it on the floor.

  12. I might be knackered but I saw somebody at Radcliffe who looked the same age as my 14 year old sonand was a brill dancer. I was around in 76 and my children are not grown up the youngest being 5 years.
  13. I have got the original 3rd anniversary patch but it doesn't look like the one in the picture above. Alot of the people who went that night didn't get in, packed!! I cannot bear to part with mine, good luck xx

Most football fans myself included do not stop over at hotels when they go to a match they usually come straight home especially if they have lost
  15. I totally agree Stu.
  16. Morecambe Pier was one of the best niters after the casino closed, it is very underated. It also had some of the best dancers Willie Mercer and Stewart Spence from Scotland. Mark Linton was brilliant at Morecambe and is still DJ ing.
  17. I was about 13 when I first went to the casino, they had soul nights which were just as packed as the allnighters. I was 14 when I first went to an allnighter, I remember being pushed in and this bouncer putting his hand out and everybody putting money in it (notes them days). I don't remember every sneaking out just diverting the truth to where I was going. I remember this lad in my class at school first coming in with a casino patch and everybody was stood there asking him where he had been.

  19. I am not being funny but I hope they are having the 70s hairstyles not the ones they have now or the film will not look realistic to me.
  20. John Orritt from Croston would know. He is on here under Revilot. I remember him telling me he went to the very first Wigan allnighter and I remember sharing a taxi with him near the last night.
