Robert Thomas - Salvation
I'm pretty sure the repress has poor sound quality. My "Men from Macon" Instrumental of the track is the repress and sounds very low fi. Dave

Four Perfections original REDUCED
Sorry Weingarten . Was about to hijack your sales thread by turning it into a discussion of the record Good luck with your sale Dave

Bobby Garrett. I can't get away
Yep. Looks like an original to me as well. Dave

Jimmy Delphs - Our Last Goodbye
I bought the Hayley release and have to say that I prefer the "our last goodbye" side. The bass playing on the intro is some of the best I've ever heard and the string arrangements are superb throughout. Of course Jimmy's vocal is incredible. Dave

Paris Blues - UK Grapevine
The record is in vg+ condition with clean labels. Sound wise there are a few pops on the intro but the music dominates. The pops sound worse when played through a stereo pickup. The record sounds much better in mono, as it is a mono recording anyway. I have included both stereo and mono soundfiles so that you can judge for yourselves. I am asking £20 including UK 1st Class 'signed for' delivery. Thanks for looking and listening. Barbara Mason "Yes I'm Ready" Tom Moulton Mix
Those were my thoughts as well Chris. However, the Paul Simpson (handance) mix also has some extra organ in the first half that is absent from the Tom Moulton Mix. I don't think the 'handance' mix is as clean sounding as the T Moulton one, which is my favorite. Maybe T Moulton it's an Mp3 only release, Or maybe some one took the 10 minute T. Moulton mix and cut out the last 3 minutes of instrumental 'filler' using Audacity. Dave

Bob Relf, Bob and Earl, Bobby Garrett
An incredible artist alright. I remember "Blowing my mind to pieces/girl your my kind of wonderful" being one of the first records that really blew me away when I first heard it in the mid 80's and was always spellbound by the harmonies on the chorus of "wonderful". Many years later I heard this track and was mesmerised all over again: Great thread ;-) Dave

Barbara Mason "Yes I'm Ready" Tom Moulton Mix
That's a great version of The Ethics Kev. Thanks for the tip. Dave

Barbara Mason "Yes I'm Ready" Tom Moulton Mix
Thanks for your reply Chris. Unless I'm missing something the 6.17 Tom Moulton mix is not on the Philly Steps CD. The three versions on that CD are: The Handajnce mix (Paul Simpson) 6.38 The Tom Moulton mix Pt2 (9.59) Lynsam reggae mix 3.15 However, I am just going by the track listing on amazon. I'm not really interested in a download unless it's incompressed wav or flac. Thanks again, Dave

Barbara Mason "Yes I'm Ready" Tom Moulton Mix
Does anyone have any information on the 2005 Tom Moulton Remix? I'm referring to the 6.17 length version as shown below https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkAV02nOLpQ And not the following 9.59 extended length version, which I've managed to locate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_q8T-gmvGo Thanks for your help, Dave

Porgy & the Monarchs 'that's my girl' on Verve
Has anyone got a link to the Verve mix sound file? Dave

Any chance this could be made to play again?
Nice one. I always play mono records with the 'mono' amp button switched on. It vastly impoves the quality of the playback. Dave

bobby garret- i can`t get away
The low-fi / bass heavy sound is the only thing that alerted me to the fact that it was a bootleg. Bizarrely the white vinyl demo sounds even worse with far too much treble in the mix. Maybe they copied the vinyl issue bootleg and increased the treble to compensate. Dave
