Wigan 78 - It Was As Bad As This?
It's not bad but hearing people clapping at the end of Love Hustle does make you think..actually Mark, big disappointment today, old mate of mine said he had ten or so Wigan tapes and they arrived today, unfortunately, at least 5 of them were recorded by - ME!

Cover Me
Is that who it is, La Brenda Ben, I always had it as Norma Jenkins!

Did I Get A Bargain?
It's a little like braille, but don't worry, there is no boot of that record on the cream label with red lettering.

Did I Get A Bargain?
Don't worry, if it's cream, it's real..

Wigan 78 - It Was As Bad As This?
Yeah it was a Russ set. Also played Esko Affair and Helen Shapiro. I'm pretty sure it wasn't all that bad though. Me and Mr C used to enjoy Alan Rhodes' spots I remember.

Wigan 78 - It Was As Bad As This?
I'm not joking, I went to Wigan every single week in 1978 until the middle of August, and I remember it as being pretty good, not as good as 76 and 77 but still good, but I just got a "fresh" Wigan live tape and I'm listening to one of the worst spots I've ever heard - not all bad, but some of the choices are spectacularly bad, needless to say I spent most of those 78 nights gabbing to people rather than dancing. AD LIBS - NY IN THE DARK CHARLIE GRACIE - HE'LL NEVER LOVE YOU LIKE I DO GERRI THOMAS - LOOK WHAT I GOT PEGGY MARCH - IF YOU LOVED ME PALLBEARERS - MUSIC WITH SOUL RAL DONNER - DON'T LET IT SLIP AWAY RON GRAINER - THEME FROM JOE 90 STEMMONS EXPRESS - WOMAN LOVE THIEF EDDIE FOSTER (sic) - DO I LOVE YOU RAINBOW PEOPLE - LIVING IN A DREAM WORLD DIANE NEWBY - EVERYTHING'S WRONG LESLEY GORE - WE KNOW WE'RE IN LOVE KAREN YOUNG - TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING THE NEWBEATS - DON'T TURN ME LOOSE FAMILY AFFAIR - LOVE HUSTLE anyone care to guess the DJ? What is this, about June 78?

You are anyway as there's no boots of the WD

Facebook V Soul Source
Peter is a very gay sounding name. Pete

Facebook V Soul Source
No I wasn't seriously suggesting Collectors Corner but even that is better than LAYB.
-
Facebook V Soul Source
Yes, truly fantastic but with the worst name for a forum of all time I reckon... collectors corner would have been better than Look At Your Box.

Johnny Sayles-My Loves A Monster-Ch-Town
Was booted long long ago though, circa 75 - demo is very rare, and usually found in VG nick.

Spyder Turner & Pree 45's

John Manship Auction Results 12-3-2014
Yep, pity on the rest of us poor clueless wretches. We can only aspire to these great heights. * I make this comment because I am not happy with the insinuation that anyone else running an auction is untrustworthy.

Blimey, talk about exaggerating. He's absolutely spot on in everything he says. There should not be any sacred cows.

Not the same though: Dave was just reviewing them on their qualities, John's got to try and sell them to us

John Manship Auction Results 12-3-2014
Hmm. Not a phrase I like to use much myself. If I've played it, it's mint minus.
