  1. Wow, I've got one of those but only value it at £75 absolute tops.

  4. Cheers - supposed to be doing episode 2 this coming week
  5. Please, no, it's terrible..
  6. I used to have an original of this on BETAMAX! Worth a bob or two now.
  7. Yes, on Parlophone. Interesting also that "I'll Hold You" was actually recorded by UK Decca for Hickory - it has an export number totally different to the main Decca numbering system.
  8. There was a topic about this the other day showing the UK demos with both Holiday and The Kid as A sides, interesting stuff
  9. That's where Hickory were based in the USA Andy, they all have that on them. They released a run of 45's in the UK distributed by Pye Records
  10. Andy, it's definitely on British, Hickory 1337
  11. I can't understand that, this is just a tailor made, new lyrics over an old backing track, you may as well get a carver done, it would be just as original as that £156 one.
  12. Interesting, it came out on UK Hickory so could have been recorded here for export?
  13. Must have come out on British then. I'd better check.
  14. Cheers Tony. WIll definitely undercut all of those big time. I always say, there's no point having a record on the shelf, I;d rather turn it into money even if it means reducing it.
  15. Thanks a lot Nick! Much appreciated. The podcasts have more or less ground to a halt at the moment which is why I was surprised to find these top 100 ones still on the net, I've got no more space on my other podcasts sites which is why I haven't done any lately. I've got another 4 episodes of "Found in the basement" ready to post up!
  16. He'd say it's worth half of what it's actually worth, he always does!
  17. Is that "the" Gerry Dorsey? Became Engelbert Humperdinck a few years later. Would love to hear this.
  18. That sort of thing bugs me a bit because it took hours to put those together with the radio jingles and all that, record them, convert them, ages to put them up, type it all out, let everyone get it all for free and then someone comes along and says it's all sh*t, without explaining why, it just makes me wonder why I - or anyone else who does all this stuff for nothing - bothers.
  19. Fortunately, by the time the next one came out, it was a double sided orange demo - Shop Around
  20. Don't worry, back to school next week
  21. Honest souls like yourself, hmmm.
  22. Interesting you should say that, but I couldn't stay 18 and love stompers forever
  23. I'd never heard of it, I'd just got these 30 or so records arrive and Mick Smith says to me, there's one on there I'd like, I'll give you £100 for it, so trusting soul that I am, I let him have it. I was still overjoyed at finding Theresa Lindsey "It's Love" in the 30 records LOL I've had about ten of those since. I think Mick sold it to Keb next day for 500, and it eventually went to JM, might be wrong.
