  1. Yeah there was mate, Jamaican Memories, sleeve and content exactly the same as the very rare 1969 Blue Cat compilation LP, plus some great extra tracks. If you can't find it and want a copy, give me a shout.
  2. I've got to be perfectly honest with you, this post from Mike was the first I've heard of this particular incident, so I don't know how widespread it was but he certainly didn't ask me to post anything - he usually does, until I moaned about something a month back and he stopped asking.
  3. Yes, good idea, ban anyone who's ever said anything in defence of Ian Levine.
  4. What are you on about now?
  5. It's very rare but I think more for the B side which is psych I think, well put it this way, in all my years of collecting British I've never had a copy, though I've never gone out of my way to find it. If I'm right about the B side, you'd probably get 150 for it on ebay. This group changed their name to Uriah Heep!
  6. Was going to say the same thing. Never booted.
  7. Shame, but just been and dumped them. Everything from El Topo to Last House On Dead End Street, Sister Streetfighter to Deep Throat, and even The good old "Enema Bandit" which is undoubtedly the most bizarre film of all time. Bye bye old friends...
  8. Does anyone want all my tapes, they go back to the mid 80's, there are hundreds of them, literally, all Northern. You'll have to pick them up though, I'm not posting them!
  9. Might have it - will have a look
  10. Bloody hell Benji, I am just about to go down the rubbish tip with two boxes of videos containing almost every cult movie and tv program you can imagine - but they are videos not dvd's - I've been lugging them around from house to house and I just can't take them this time so I'm throwing them away. There must be a good 400 tapes with 2 films on each. I did offer them to anyone to take away for free but no takers.
  11. Well I haven't heard it for a few years but it's a different version to me.
  12. Just pops up every now and then mate, don't worry about it
  13. If you're going to be picky, substitute the word "mix" for "take", it sounds like two different records
  14. In that case it's just the Mica one - but it's definitely a different take, very different.
  15. Was a massive record everywhere, including our youth club - this was around the same time as The Moment - Nine Times I think. Both great records.
  16. No. it's Roger's most hated record of all time I think, and to be honest, my dog could sing better than Pierre Hunt.
  17. it's by a black jazz singer and is 1000% northern soul
  18. The versions on Impression and Mica are totally different to the more well known one on Jerhart. Well the Mica one is anyway, only ever had the Impression one once on a yellow issue.

    Crikey!
  20. I love this record and I've never owned it, even 10 years back when it was a couple of hundred I couldn't get one. Brilliant, brilliant track
  21. You should be able to walk out of your house and trip over one! Then again...a demo...hmm not sure about that - is there one?
  22. I've got some nice stuff on Ebay at the moment, ending in a couple of days, if you want to take a look and see if you can grab a bargain, here's the link. https://shop.ebay.co.uk/mayfairmenthol/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

Yes. Ian's videos are always reliable for giving me my regular dose of busty black ladies.

Don't understand - do you mean the video of Prince Phillip Mitchell dancing is reminiscent of the Village People? What about the singing - he's still got it and it's not a bad re-recording of a classic.
  25. It's by The 45 King I think, and it's bloody fantastic - for about 30 seconds, then you realise it's not going to change pitch or anything else and it repeats itself for the whole of the record.
