Well the 2 quid charge includes something like 30p for a mailer and if I use a second hand one I'm taking 30p off people for nothing, which I'm not happy with. On the other hand, I have been driven mad by 'green' issues being constantly bombarded at the subject so I'm afraid I don't recycle anything except beer bottles.

Thats bollocks I'm afraid. People destroying classic records is far more likely to screw up the scene than people complaining about it.

I try and reuse the ones with the least writing on but if I charge someone 2 quid postage they deserve a brand new mailer, I get angry if I pay that and it comes in a 2nd hand mailer. By the way, thanks to Mischief for that big lot of cardboard inners he sent me, sorry mate I forgot to say thanks.

This is Flight Of The Con Chords of course, I can't get the clip to play cos it keeps sticking but in one epsiode of the show they do a spoof soul song and at times the guy with glasses sounds identical to Sly Stone on songs like Family Affair. They are really good, these two.

Half of those are fakes though I think Dave (the snakepit ones) - done using a karaoke program - I might be wrong but I reproduced the Gladys Knight track myself using such a program

That's actually the scarcest of her Island 45's (though the others are easy to find) but still shouldn't really cost more than 20-25 quid. I'm sure everyone knows but the version of "Mrs Soul" on Airborne is a different, inferior cut to the one on the Island LP.

I won a record from the States last night, though I didn't find out until this morning when I checked my email, anyway it was $100, so I went to pay for it only to find it saying 'your paypal payment of 13 May 08 has been initiated'. Well that's fine except for the fact that I haven't initiated a payment! I looked in my paypal account and nothing is going through. I phoned ebay and they have no idea whats going on. So if they don't know - who does?!

Surprisingly, perhaps - I absolutely love this record and have done since I first heard it. Was a huge Wigan play around the time of the 3rd anniversary, sounded fantastic then and now.

I agree with all of the comments about Dave being a great guy. However, I do wonder if any of you ever had to suffer some of his Wigan spots, or "comedown time" as we used to call it. It was like listening to the box of crap pressings that you had hidden away. Baby Love by The Supremes especially sticks in my mind.

I don't think he is saying that Mike, he's just trying to warn people that they may have problems with a particular seller going by his experience. Like, if I was to pay someone for something that I had seen advertised on this site, and I was ripped off, I wouldn't hesitate to warn other members. Unless I'm reading the posts wrong of course.

The 7" boot has Angelina on both sides by the way. I'm sure I had a yellow issue of this once.
