What's Been Your Favourite Venue Of 2009 ?
Soul nights.... Solid Hit Soul ....for continuing to bring new 60s tunes to my ears..... the new venue is just right.... and the guest DJs from outside the London area. TOTS.....only two this year but fantastic new venue and promoted by two great guys with top guest DJs. Boogaloo and Walls of Heartache for bloody good nights out. Boomerang for the best social event I travel to.....the alldayer is not to be missed. Allnighters.... Lifeline ...although I only managed one this year. The new home is spot on. Bidds.... love the music policy. Weekenders... None...didn't do any this year (funds shortage and i hate chalets and caravans).....was hoping for Lifeline next year but i hear that is unlikely. What i missed this year.... Warren's Cheap As Chips.....the last one at the end of 2008 was brilliant....imagination wins over bank balance every time. Thanks to all promoters who put their time, passion and money into whatever event i attended. Have a great new year.

A La Carte ?
...can I bring a deck chair and a flask of soup?
-
A La Carte ?
Just so I know where I stand... I can't buy or accept an A La Carte CD........ and also a giveaway CD at a soul event. Clearly there is no difference as in both cases the owner of the rights is deprived of royalties. Taking that a step further should not all event promoters ensure they have the required PRS Licence....and if not i can't go there. Have to stop at home and just play my ACE CDs then.

There Are Not Many Black People On The Scene?
All my black mates in the 70s were into funk and disco and 60s soul didn't float their boat.

How Important Are Flyers
With my eyesight I just like big letters on a clean white background please. One of he best flyers for design must be The United Sounds of Soul take on a dollar bill but must be near one of the hardest for me to read! I try to read the flyers at all venues I attend.

In All Those Years, What Would Be Your All Time Top 10 Records?
THE BOND BUG Like the Raleigh Chopper, the Bond Bug was a classic seventies icon " a three-wheeler aimed firmly at the younger, fun-loving generation. The two-seater, three-wheeled sports car, was designed by Tom Karen of Ogle Design and built by Reliant, creators of that other three-wheeled icon, the Reliant Robin, under the acquired company name of Bond Cars Ltd in 1970. The wedge-shaped, fibre-glass Bug had no doors, just a lift-up canopy. It was only available in one colour " bright orange. And, unlike the slow Reliant, could do up to 75mph. A short production run guaranteed their collectability: only 2,268 vehicles were built before the Bug was terminated in May 1974. Daniel Culley of Bristol has the largest collection in the UK " 335.

Having A Laugh. Prices Plus Paypal Fees
Never a truer word. There was a Lonnie Lester on a list on here maybe a week ago for I think £60 and there is another on now for £110.... I would be happy to pay 4% more and P&P etc. for the right price one and just walk away from the other...
