  1. Been going through some of my boxes, didn't realise how many different RCA US and UK sleeves there are, must have 15 or 16 different ones. Quite like the red/green coloured psychedelic type, not sure what sort of year that would have come out ?

  6. If Helen Shapiro ' Tell me what he said' can pick up numerous spins, anything is possible, unfortunately.
  7. Sure someone spun it ..............sad indictment of how low the rare soul scene can sink at times ........
  8. Thought this thread was about the rarest stock copies .......... not sure where a 45 known only from a couple of hand written test pressings really fits into the discussion ?
  9. If any of you had heard the Delfonics version blasting out of the 100 club speakers the other year (Courtesy of the Pinch Bros), you would appreciate how great this song is taken at an uptempo storming soulful dance floor destroyer mode !!
  10. None of the above .............. DELFONICS version easily the best by a country mile in my humble opinion !!
  11. Yvonne Baker still available ?
  12. I'm sure if 40,000 plus fans can be checked at football matches, a couple of hundred at niters being checked is hardly the most difficult thing out there, and as for some older people not having smartphones, it's easy to get a paper copy showing proof of vaccinations from the NHS website.
  13. If you need to ask what is crossover, have you really got a proper appreciation of different tempos and varied styles of SOUL music played on the scene ?
  14. I can't believe some of the absurd and laughable rubbish that appears on this site too often. This sort of thing is an insult to all proper collectors, dancers, and soul fans who have attended the great venues of the 70's, 80's, 90's, and the current 100 club, and deserves all the derision it should qualify for.
  15. Looks like 2 proper 60's originals on this, NOONEY Rickett IT 107, silver label, indentation before centre, No exclamation marks around IT, and NORMAN Rickett, IT 326, slightly darker silver label, indentation, but has exclamation marks around IT - '' IT ''
  16. The proper Soul version by the Intruders on Gamble is more affordable, about $1490 cheaper !?
  17. I'm pretty sure this is Something New ' You babe ' - on Curtom 1954, and Wand 11225 (1970).

  23. Just sorting a load of 45's, have got 2 different copies of 'Real Love' Drizabone on UK 7", anyone know which is the first, the silver moulded label credited to DRIZA-BONE, or the paper like label issue with the pic of skeletons on one side, credited to DRIZABONE, not that it probably really matters all that much ?!
