Best Junk Shop Finds
Last year I was in Charity shop in Aberdeen and they were selling Lps for ridiculous prices EG Beatles Lps for £12 etc in crap condition There was a small pile of 45s on the flor with no sleeves. The usual rubbish pop but then a copy of Cado Belle - Got to love on an Anchor issue. She charged me £1 for it. Clened it up to ex cond and sold it to the soul supermarket on here for £30 - Not a bad return. P.S I had the cheek to tell them that their person who looks through their records and prices them had missed that one!

4 Grand Car Boot Joy
about 12 years ago I lived in a small fishing town called Banff and used to go into Aberdeen once amonth or so. This little 2nd hand shop in dyce often had the odd record but one day I walked in to see a cardboard box on the floor and written on it 25pence each or the box for £4.00 There were about 75 records in it. I looked at the first record and thought Ill buy the lot for £4 as that was a bargain for the first one which was a white uk demo of Pet Clarks sign of the times on Pye. Got out to the car and started looking at them and nearly collapsed 4 Beatles Red & White demos Bread & beer band on the first issue Decca demo - £200 even then. Eden St skiffle band 10 flexi disc including the deck to play them £150 at the time and loads more 60s demos of the Move, The Kinks Status Quo, Helen Shapiro, Pretty things Tom Jones and god knows what. In total I think I made about £950 as I remember not making the Thousand . My Wife enjoyed the trip to Paris

Vocalists / Musicians Needed For Soul Band
I used to be lead singer in a rock band in Manchester in the 70s as well as going to the Mecca Wigan Ritz etc. I asked my colleagues to do heavy metal version of tainted love but they wernt into soul so it was shelved- 3 months later Soft cell have number 1 with it! My real claim to fame is I sang on stage with Helen Shapiro when I was 4years old singing Walkin back to hapiness when it was number 1. My daughter is 4 and she cant stop singing "Dont pity me" Now that would be Novel - Drummer Guitar and bass player all 50 years of age-lead Singer -4

Ian Levine Remake Of Ritz Classic
I for one will be buying it. Doris Jones - No way out has always been one of my alll time favourites. For those of us lucky enough to see them live at the Ritz in the 70s Levine was far ahead of his timeand very few complained about LJ Johnstons - Your magic put aspell on me (even if it did sound like Living for the city speeded up) the oldies crew loved it just as much as the newies crew!

Selling Records
Ive been and still going through a protracted disagreement with someone on here who I call dodgy and put it to the moderators that this person should be named and shamed in the strongest possible way because I know legally where I stood having all the evidence but I got no reply to my point of duty of care other than sort it out outside the forum which I thought was a wrong call on their part given the transaction was through here. I feel we have a duty of care to each other on here and therefore the person should be named and shamed. Thats my opinion
