  3. Just had to say this but saw Bad Manners last week and the were fooking great! What an atmosphere it was! Their Ska version of "Cant take my eyes off you" was amazing

  8. Their are so many DJs who have left their mark or played something to enlighten the ears of all of us. Agree with Pete S about Russ - Today you wouldnt bat an eyelid if he played his usual set from 30 years ago but then it was sheer pleasure. Colin Curtis was a silent partner at the Mecca as Ian got most of the tunes from his trips but Richards S was very versatile and recognised the changes in the scene an accomodated the developing tastes. It would be an interesting thread if not already done to ask all DJs what record they discovered and to be honest about it- It would make interesting reading to say the least! P.S Didnt know Joey negro was a top British DJ - Thought he was American!

  13. Your absolutely right- This was the first record I bought at Global and went on to work there part -time a couple of years later. The original Red scepter copies or White demos were quite hard to find but the multicoloures were in great number.
  14. Yes I pulled out 30-40 copies on the DTE out of one box at global- Think only acouple were vynil
  15. What a tune- been playing this for the last 5 years and picked up spare copy in New York 3 years agoi. People should pick this up as it is US only release and the cd version is the original slow version.

    Very sad news like all that we hear of. But Particularly this individual of which his records gave me so much pleasure. I hope his mother withstands the stress of losing her son. She sounds like avery caring person.

    Yes absolutely brilliant and not to get confused with his 45 of the same name which is totally different! Another great album track for me is - People do change by Round Robin Monopoly on Truth records - Anyone played this out much
