Ian Levine And Soul Source
The person said it first as recorded was Jewish therefore its a jewish saying! Its like the Christians saying the cross is their symbol - No it wasnt they adopted it as its origins are Roman as it was a tool to carry equipment as brought by General Marius in early 3rd century BC.

Ian Levine And Soul Source
My support of Ian is based on the great times I had at the Mecca - Its not about after that- But Guess what there are some people on here who remember those times Wigan / Mecca /Ritz and have held it agaist him ever since - so no matter what he says or does hes gonna get slated. Hes never asked me to do anything and im not defending some of the language he has used on here but the old Jewish saying " He who is without sin - cast the first stone - because Mike there been quite a few on here who should also be banned for their inputs with their language etc I have to agree with Chris L on this matter- we have all done or said something on this scene which has upset others- The problem with Ian is he doesnt know when to say sorry - But again others on here are in the same club!IMO The other problem we mortalson this site is we only have limited information - Mushrooms and all that Why dont you Mike post the suggested Legal action by IL because if he is wrong he will lose even more supporters- Debate is the tool 0f democracy - banning him seems like The Politt Beaurea not liking what the aristocracy have to say!

Autumn Of Tomorrow ?
I know I give you Grief Mike (Just my nature- Nothing Sinister) But what afab site this is and if I ever left it Ithink I would have the same feelings as when I got out of the scene for 15 years only to feel wonderful when I returned to it. Keep up the great work everyone. Regards Steve When people start to play records backwards I get worried - Devil worship an all that

Our Music
Bob - How can you make a comparison between The Beatles & the Northern soul scene- Thats even more ludicrous and shows your lack of Knowledge o 60sf British Culture. The Beatles were reveered predominantly in the Uk and became a huge success abroad- Irrespective of the Hamburg concerts. So the point is they were loved here(Records/shows etc) and abroad whereas the Northern soul scene was based on records loved here but not in the country of origin in other words you (& I am talking USA) abandoned them. Now that could be said to be arrogant! Their is respect from where they came from thats why our scene started. As you have admitted your not part of any Northern scene Bob and that suggests then that you havnt a clue about the emotions and feelings about these records that bring people who had never met together in a common admiration. So I would suggest you are arrogant because you dont have a scoobies about what Northern soulscene is interms of "The feeling" You may be very knowledgeable about rare soul records but it appears you are dabling in something you have limited knowledge about- However your point about other countries buying the records is valid! LOL Steve

The Rimshots - Do Whatcha Feel
Still one of my Favs and was playing this on my decks at home - Wheres that Pic from because my album doesnt have that pic and my single is a white demo with no pic sleeve. Watching Epic slide alcross the highland room as well evokes memories. Hairs on my neck stand up when I hear this as it really gets you thinking about when you were in your late teens. Didnt we used to dance with a girl when this came on at the Mecca or was that at Blackpool Casino. Difficult to explain the dance.

Has There Ever Been A Worse Cover Of A Soul Record
i THINK ITS - THE TWO FELLOWS ON LIBERTY SINGING THEIR VERSION OF "An uphill climb to the bottom" Absolute Sh*te And what about Bo Donaldson &heywoods version of Bunny Siglers- Girl dont make me wait Sounds like David & the Giants on Acid- Utter Tripe If we can all admit it - we probably secretly liked Duffy's first but then her voice has just become repetetive with no range at all! Even Alma Cogan sounds better than she does
