  1. the Soul Patrol on Highland was indeed booted on a "grubby" yellow promo label.
  2. Ex+ copy of this raw "sing along" song on an endless roll of drums wave fall down to make it a soulful dancer in the end... wonderlettes.mp3 Scans and sound clip of both sides with needle drop and lift from actual record for sale. Grading through M - EX - VG - G... £40 Free shipping all over the world add £6 to have it registered PM me to inquire
  3. Traditionally in Europe records were dubbed from"imports" so most unlikely from "tapes/reels" most of the times.
  4. This record is sooo ooold ! It's pre-historic, tintenet wasn't even born !
  5. Sorry but https://www.typography.com Again but... this is going to be too lengthy.
  6. Typos are all the credentials, title, artists... all the styrene Revilot used the same fonts where the Revilot vinyls had variant/different fonts. Meaning different pressing plants. But they are exactly the same ??? Here first styrene (promo) and then the light grey vinyl press...
  7. My answer is I quote myself once again " contemporary bootlegs to cash in on hit records sales ". The bootleg biz is about money and not much else. Vanity maybe sometimes...
  8. Remember browsing through NOS USA import records here in Brussels and stumbling on dodgy looking (grubby label and hazy printings) multiple releases of Martha Reeves and the Vandellas 'heatwave' on Gordy and a Supremes on Motown (was it 'baby love') and they even sounded bad enough. Learned after (pre-internet days so information was not as easily reachable) that they were contemporary bootleg made from a Motown "insider" for the American market to cash in on the sales...
  9. Exactly so if they were press at different pressing plants the typefaces and or typography of the credits should be different as you can see with the 2 examples (and there are more examples) of the Parliaments 'good old music' and J.J. Barnes 'our love is in the pocket first on multi colored label styrene and the on pink label vinyl where the typos are different logically. It's not the case of DarrelL Banks o Revilot 201 !!!
  10. The trouble is the "photocopy" kind of label of the Darrel Banks on vinyl. If pressed at another pressing plant, the typo should change like it's the case for these by example; But both those 2 "pink" and "grey" pressed on vinyl look like they just "borrowed" the label from the styrene one... Even the "grey" vinyl variation as shown here below !
  11. Likely the same story as with the British London/Stateside releases infringement... This sole Canadian Revilot distributed by London Records release even though if it was not withdrawn was likely quickly supplented with the Quality release !
  12. Not all bootlegs aimed at the British folks on that small Island west of the European Continent. For example Americans also use to have their own contemporary bootlegs to cash in on hit records sales, not only on rare records... So Darrel Banks 'open the door...' could have suffered that fate. Many of these seem to come out of "discounted" batches with the drill cut-out holes. So likely they were in the official commercial circuit. Still not meaning that they were legit none the less. For facts, I can't say what it is exactly with this pink vinyl variation but since, at Ric-Tic they had indeed few later numbers issued both on vinyl and styrene, even switching back to the pink labels for those vinyl issues, when they had switch to the multi-colored labels by then. So they could have throw in a new release of Darrel Banks there to supply a maybe lasting demand... Only the typo on the label of the vinyl copies of Darrel Banks in this case suggest that it is a photocopy of the styrene issue...
  13. Another film about a "ME" that is not about "MYSELF" ! "I" will be jealous again... Pffff !

  15. Tyrone Davis early days R'n'B-ish effort. Nice Ex vinyl (NOT the styrene press) and label. SOoo ChicagO. Scans from actual record for sale. NOC, small tear on labels and VG++/EX- vinyl pays perfect ! Scans from actual record for sale. Grading through M - EX - VG - G... £25 Free shipping all over the world PM me to inquire ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ the Miracles were definitely in top shape for this 1968 recording session ! Here the seldom seen flashy Holland picture cover of the very collectable Artone/Tamla Motown series. Overall VG condition with only superficial scuffs but plays really strong enough (without noises or distortions) and still looks the buzz and it's price reflects the condition. 16. Overall VG+/VG copy that plays great. Vinyl bares few scuffs and marks but barely affect play. 'A' side would be VG+ for the vinyl and label. 'B' side vinyl has more marks about and should be grade VG while label has WOL. As you can hear it below, it plays clean. It has the slightest low lift kinda warp once you pay attention. I haven't noticed that before now... My believe is that the record spent its "young days" sleeveless. The labels shows some wear on the inner dip edge of the labels and there's some marks (bruises) on the vinyl more than scuffs (caused by paper sleeves) and likely the record met the hand of a child armed with a pen that should explain the primitive "artistry" work on the 'B' side. King of a record in every way to play both 'in' & 'out'. I had the repress and even if slightly longer, to some interest, it didn't have the same kicking' sound as this original one. I guess that would be due to a digital mastering at one time in the process which this original edition didn't suffer. This is my "old" copy that I've upgraded. I wouldn't part with it otherwise. The £400 price on this prize record include the P&P send registereded anywhere in the world Scans of the best resolution (600dpi) to allow you to zoom in enough for close inspection. 17. And once you have this wonderful record home do not miss on the flip side 'come to me girl'...

They are upgraded "copycats" (but for the Tina Britt that I never really liked and always prefered the Chiffons) and definitely much more than coincidence or "common features"
  19. ...re activated destined to become a loser oldie... Misleading, confusing, maybe forthcoming but still poetic without ponctuation... LOL !
  20. Tlscapital replied to a post in a topic in All About the SOUL
The Ambassadors with Danny Monday with the horns build-up and the Temptones and the Ringleaders for guitar 1/2 tempo riff and echoey overall groove sound but for the rest... more like a common "feature". Coincidence IMO more than "reference". One that grows on me lately is the Fabulous Peps 'love of my life' = Marvin's 'I'll be doggone'. Cliché and nonchalant but it "sticks like glue".
  21. German release as well:
