Hi all, for sale: Just Brothers - She Broke His Heart / Things Will be Better/ EMPIRE VG+ £40 ** SOLD ** Fabulous double header, one side a deep soul classic, tuther is a very nice mid-tempo track. 'SBYH' came out on Garrison and is listed as coming out on Wand with 'Carlena' as the flip, and 'TWGB' came out originally on Lupine, dog rare 45 that... Condition wise Ive marked this as VG+, has ring wear, see the scans, and general wear, but plays fine to my ears, some faint noise, a tiny click for the first 30 seconds on 'SBHH' but its very acceptable, and if I didn't have two copies, I'd be keeping this, a used but certainly not totally abused 45... Post: 1st Class Signed for (insured up to £50) within the UK - £2.50, if your further a field, say where and I'll quote you. Kind regards, Malcolm

Love 'Where are you Going?", remember it was everywhere in the 9ts, I got it off some Modern soul CD, then again off a sampler from Blue and soul I think, some Black music mag, so was the expanded 'Lets Get it on" where Where are you Going" first appeared? Like to get it on its first issue... Mal

Carol Woods & The Executives Heart Breaker C/w Ooh Baby, sold mine for £250, and this went for over £374 with what looks like a very off center label.. although it doesn't say that on the ad blurb.. dunno, its a £250 record in my book so somebody has paid a ton over what they could have paid... M

You always did write good sleeve notes Dave, my favorite, the Rare Soul Uncovered 3, I went out and got every 45 on there bar Roscoe of course which was either unissued, or on an LP, cant remember.

Just browsing through sales, and I count 39 new sales threads today (Mon) alone, I'm assuming those are new topics, not bumped ones, but even if you cut some slack, say 10 for arguments sake, thats 29 new sales threads for a Monday.. thats got to be a record right? so everybody is selling, and nobody is buying it seems... where does the '£2 to £3k-ish...' come from dave, just interested, Ive not seen this on the UK dealers auctions before, not that I remember, but there is allot between what you have quoted there, like a £1000 pounds... so is this one of those 'they just lose tho Minds' 45's... Malcolm

Blimey 'The London Boys' haven't heard that in yonks... slightly corny now I suppose, but I think its really cool track. And this stamp of approval from a guy who gets excited because I used to walk over a curb and road that appeared in the opening titles of 'To sir with Love', three and a half years at News International and I can honestly say it was pretty much the highlight of my day!!

Love early Bowie, think "Let Me Sleep Beside You" "Karma Man" and "Sell Me a Coat" are my favorite from that Dream / Decca LP, and " Silly Boy Blue" just soars doesn't it... Ive got LP's with this stuff on but never collected the 45's.. wonder what came out in OZ>? Malcolm

your obviously aware its the flip of 'Lady In Green' Carlo? original is silly money, I mean SILLY money, but its booted on a lookalike label and that 45 has far better quality on the 'Heart made of Stone' side.. than 'Lady in Green'. LIG has various other boots with different flips... Good luck dude.. Malcolm

Very odd, same seller has Terry Callier on Cadet/chess for sale, currently £43 quid with a day to go, get in people! But on hearing that 45, how on earth did he come out at £16k for the track were discussing? It's probably not that rare, and oh my golly it really does sound very much like that terry Callier track, that's got to be Northern soul right? Mal.C.
