Ahh, just tracked back over my feedback, he did leave me the following feedback, Ive put it in Brackets cause its very small...... ( . ) He seems to like his CAPS Button, makes me feel my single full stop Is a quite a nasty blank..or perhaps he did inplode before he could get off a line of upper case RANT! Lol.. Mal

Isn't it the vocal flip? Inst one side vocal by Mel on the other! Still makes it a brill 5 quid track...I always wondered, the uk is littered with this 45, is it the same on the states or are they rarer over there... Malcolm

  9. indeed, I'm the winner of that Auction.
  10. At last, only ten years looking for a copy, Ive only ever seen one other, as a scan Dave Flynn's web site, owned by Frank in Melbourne who did a piece on Aussie Soul 45's... Recently John Manship was saying the Sandy Wynns 45 he had on his Auction was rare, I must have seen ten or so of that one over the last decade, Its not that rare... but this one IS seriously rare... would have been great if they had put out 'I've Settled Down' but alas they didn't.. Cant stop staring at it!!! Malcolm

Hi there, like this, but where exactly are you based, and who are you? surely you would accept friends and family (Gift) Pay Pal payments? Malcolm
  12. Remember co presenters on east-side radio in Sydney doing evenings where both presenters would play the Soul and then the Jamaican version of Soul Hits, or Reggae hits for that matter. There were more USA tunes covered in Jamaica obviously, but they used to dig out some real jems... Good stuff Pete.. M

As Shocked as everybody, spoke with him last week about a record I'd been after and he had got a coupe copies of. Really awful news, my condolences to his immediate family, and all his friends... Malcolm
  15. Remember Rob Pheasant from Willenhall in the Black Country did the same with loads of his, Ive tons of them still, he was good as well, very professionally done.. Malcolm
  16. let me check the dead wax on my pressing, then you will know. I'l come back a bit later. mal
  17. The colour is pretty close if I remember right, but you can see a sort of rounding pattern on the label, hard to describe, but the vinyl should give it away pretty quickly. Its a reasonably flimsy pressing the boot... Ive got the boot, and the only way I'd part with it is if I had the dosh and opportunity for an original, which never seems to come up... Malcolm
  18. Here are three of the variant labels Baz, for your reference. One is dated 1980, so thats the second release I guess (Middle Pic), the one with a lettered logo only I dont know which one that is, maybe the original? Final one (On the far right) is the one I got from Steve, so thats the 2000 ish release? and a slightly different mix. Just listened to the two, one version starts with a double drum hit, so Duh Dum, and intro, other does not, both the intro's are slightly different before the vocal / piano start in, its a different patten in fact... I cant illustrate it with words but will try to pip a sound file up shortly... I need my coffee before fighting with the Refo section... Malcolm
  19. Slightly different version as well Steve, think I bought one of those off you. Malcolm
  20. I do agree Mark, my reply was obviously tongue in cheek. I always reply, and always be as helpful as I possibly can, I like this forum, I get allot from it. I offered a free MP3 of a want to folk on here recently, via the wants section obviously, just stated you send something back in return. I sent it to ten or so, all of them downloaded the file, but I haven't heard back from two since, don't expect to now, guess they did not like the track...and one of them is very well known on the Northern soul scene as well, his ears will be burning if he reads this I guess. Somebody mentioned including a message in the ad stating if the seller is away and when they return, I see that on ebay all the time. Mal
  21. Either put up, or shut up..... as they say...
  22. that looks 100% to me mate, I have WD's on other releases on the label, they are all like that by and large... Not saying there is not a WD boot in circulation, but I have never personally seen it... BTW, I wouldn't be tempted in that disc mate, its F*****!!!! Malcolm
  23. its aggravating for sure, but some folk do have a life outside of 'Soul Source' you know...
  24. yep, saw Alison's thread from some years back, which confirms this, anybody reading this tonight, I'll do this for £200 (Tues 2nd) only tonight, really dont mind keeping this one, its brilliant... Mal
