So I assume everybody has seen ‘Standing in the shadows’ if you haven’t it’s a fabulous Music Doc, we all love.. and you should pronto...
but.... in the bit where Martha Reeves speaks about Motown moving to the West Coast, surly as an artist she would have been under a more stable contract than the musicians, in the film she says all of us had no idea... and I’m not saying she would falsely say that, but Motown would have made artists aware, they would need to know right?
if anybody can explain because it bugs me every time I watch it...

The W&G 45 is from the National Australian Audio archive, really nice demo and sleeve, I guess they would have had a copy of every 45 that came out, if only the chap who sold me this would come clean, I’d buy the lot in one go :-)
4. The mustangs - turn back the hands of time ( jetstar yellow promo) ex £20 instr to Tyrone davis
Got this on Aussie yellow Festival Dave, demo as well, looks the business
The mind boggles, yet again...
utterly ridiculous prices on Greater experience and Gene Woodbury, you can get GE for 400-500 all over the place over the last few years... GW is 350/400 tops in my opinion, copies were 250/300 3 to 4 years back..,,
northern hole madness!
Depends what you want jazz, Champion copies ain’t that exciting, DOC copy 250/300 mark, or on British or Aussie release is very nice... pay about that same I’d say for those, maybe a tad more for uk orig...
Hi there, interested to see what Aussie stuff is about just now, if you have something to sell get in touch with what it is, what you want...
prefer 45s in their orig Aussie sleeves, but not essential anything above Ex ++ play and label condition pls...
Always interested in any Festival white label tests, and any good W&G releases, and Astor stuff, also good NZ labels...
thanks in advance
mal :-)
Etta James - Can’t shake it
aware this is on YT with a flying witch label, can’t say I’ve ever seen one for sale, did it come out? If anybody has a FW copy or white label dub, I’m interested, Sound quality must be excellent...
thanks in advance

Not really, Such discussed and debated release I’d imagine some Motown nut might have suggested a test press? Anyhow very exciting, looking forward to finding out more....
Of course, you pay for tracks within your budget.
Ive always thought record collectiing kinda mirrored other things in society, you know in a very basic way, I’m sure folk reading this would agree, it’s fooking madness at the moment everywhere! Lol
gettig back to the nub of the thread, I can’t influence anybody, all I can do is vote with my feet, and just don’t buy em, let some other idiot waste their money...
ten pound cheapie anybody?
I won’t name them, but there are a few dealers it’s actually become harder to buy from...
and thee are a few folk that obviously play polka, they wait a few rounds then trump every value by to the power of ten!
Just my view of course, but if I’m feeling it others must be also...
taken the fun out of it..,
Asking the value of your records on Facebook groups and forums!
Does anybody think there is more of that than actual sales going on? Should be.a pre cursor right, well it’s well and truly taken the fun out of record collecting, because after you have had 5/6 conflicting prices, nobody is the wiser as far as I can see...
So this really is s lone track, says No. 10. Which could be the first release, gonna check a few deep sites cause if that was their bag at Unidad, there should be more...
Hi all, this is slightly random; but I'm learning Spanish at the moment and was reading some course work when the opening chapter said 'Unidad' with an illustration of a handshake, obviously being a Label geek, my brain instantly returned an image of the brilliant Lee Bonds 45.... "Ahhhhhhh!! that's what it means, Ive always wondered," then I tried to explain this new found fact to my Spanish tutor, "Si Significa unidad" with a quizzical look. Lol
Anyhow its a very interesting label this, I wonder what else came out ?
