Just listened to the show, and yes he is just a self gratifying Tw*t. The one record he most definatley made is the one for using "I" or "ME" the most times in any interview.. How did Mary put up with him for all that time especially when he kept butting in I had to laugh when he said to Mary about one of his new tracks "Don't you think that just screams Northern Soul" and all she could say was "um mmm". QoFxx

As well as the lyrics to The Snake which i find mildly disturbing, the lyrics to Little Anthony "Gonna Fix You Good" make my skin crawl and I have to turn if off if it comes on a CD. Seems to me he's advocating wife/girlfriend beating even if that's not what its meant to say it, still seems like it to me Its a shame really cos I like most of his other stuff QoFxx

I think it would be far more appropriate with a picture of a disco glitter ball in the middle and "Spandex Rules" accross the bottom QoFxx

I went through a punk phase in the 70s and never stole any records, so still a bit confused about your generalisation So it's ok to beat someone up as long as they are not a "soulie"errrrrrrrrrrrrrr I may be a bit thick but I'm still not getting your drift. I can see where you are coming from on this, but if this is the case shouldn't both parties be banned from events and not just the one person, who apparently came out on top of the fight And why should the people in his compay but not involved be banned? Because he came out worse in this fight does that excuse him from blame and automatically make him the victim? The people with him should of stopped the fight, that can be easier said than done when testosterone is in abundance ...............but the one thing I deffo agree with.....I'd rather have another drink And in reply for your comment that "I have never heard or seen a fight between TRUE soulies" does that make fights against non soulies ok. I have read many threads on here when people are talking about the "good old days" when they refer back to fights they started outside the Casino and other 70s venues, with punks, locals etc, is that OK then???????? I have to agree with you. Thankfully I did not see the fight but Dave Rimmer, who's view of things I respect and would take as gospel, why else would he even comment, said that it was clearly one on one. As far as I am concerned that is that. So why should fatfish68 (sorry don't know what your real name is) be barred from events because he was in the "alleged" perpetrators company at the time. Think back you guys....... If you had been banned from every event that any of your friends had been involved in fights/suffles at in your younger days, wouldn't you be a bit p*ssed. In fact many of us would never of been able to out again!!!! QoFxx

I worked there in the late 70s and we used to use the swimming pool for swimming lessons from school when the lido was shut. I remember it when it was a race track, my dad had horses down there QoFxx

To be fair Matt with so many scams going on it's not surprising people have this reaction, I also know Martin, as do many people on here, and know he is a top bloke but with these things it is so easily possibly be someone masking as his site in order to get details.
