  1. Certainly not, grasp vol au vent firmly with all fingers otherwise the little blighters tend to escape and fall into a crumbly mess and you end up with mushroom/prawn/chicken sauce all down your clean shirt I do find vol au vents a bit toooo 70s chic for my liking a bit like quiche QoFxx

  6. Not much more you can say to that, speaks for itself QoFxx
  7. Think you mis-understood me Steve, I love Dusty and think she is was the best white female vocalist ever, what I meant was that cilla, lulu etc were not in her league but Helen was good, maybe not quite as good as dusty but listenable QoFxx
  8. Surely not and to you to QoFxx
  9. Maybe Helen Shapiro, but as for the others you have got to be having a giraffe QoFxx

  11. Without doubt one of the greatest female vocalists of all time. "What's it gonna be" was one of the first records I bought when I started buying vinyl again. Dusty sings Soul (I Think that's the title) is a fantastic CD with her version of "Long After Tonight is all over" which is awesome. QoFxx

A friend of mine is sadly selling up his collection after many years and listing them on ebay in batches. Here is a link to the latest batch. https://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZbrianso...1QQfsooZ1QQrdZ0? QoFxx
  14. After going to her first NS do a young friend of mine (21) commented "bloody hell, it's a load of middle aged people doing hard core" QoFxx
  15. Don't get me wrong, I love to see "new blood" but the respect of the floor has to be earned, and that takes time, not just a record collection and a £££££££ QoFxx
  16. very dodgy ground, 10,000 lines and a rap on the knuckles with a ruler may be pending young Davie. There are alot of DJs above ..... shall I say a certain age........... who are still packing floors, finding new sounds and also have the experience of "working the floor" which is something which can only come with experience(IMHO)..............but it is all about a right of passage.....me thinks...... OK, someone pass me my coat QoFxx
  17. Well siad Mr BB (in fact that's the only sensible thing you have said for a long time....apart from the comment at prestatyn that there may be a Sunday Snug in May)..................but have you ever wondered if people are friends with you for the same reason QoFxx
  18. I'm glad I'm not the only one that this terminology has confused............mind you i'm easily confused. When the word progressive is used I have this sureal vision of "Black Sabbath" doing a cover of a soul track. (could be the wine of course) Ok i'll get my coat QoFxx
  19. I agree Annie, if he spent his money on records, they are his personal property, does this mean he should get half of her i.e. Jimmy Choo or Prada collection and as someone else said earlier her jewellry etc. The laws of Divorce stink in this country..............I should know QoFxx
  20. ANyone sorted out what the SKY number is yet QoFxx

  22. In the 1960's my family had an hotel in Rhyl called the Morville (Netspeaky and anyone else from that area will know this now as the biggest dive in town, think it has actually been closed down) but then this had the most wonderful sprung wooden dance floor absolute heaven to dance on QoFxx
  23. I've heard this Gary, can't wait to try it on the 18th QoFxx
  24. Ken spilt my red wine over his trousers once QoFxx
