  7. Blimee that makes the old deep funk forum look like a Teddy Bears picnic.....
  8. Good idea, like it..... but it'd have to be Niters / Dayers only since there are thousands of soul nites and weekenders everywhere.......
  9. There is of course the famous telegraph pole sign for Fluorescent Smogg in concert......now that would be a nice poster to have.....

Hi Ivor, it was planned as his second Wand 45 but they didn't like the mix so got Tom to re-do it, but then never put it out.
  13. Think it's merely chance / luck since I thought the labels are stuck on one at a time. It would be nice if they did match though....

It's unissued Jordi....came via Chris King / Pat Brady in the early 90s - Got a lovely walloping New York booming backbeat on it, and pronounced string arrangement etc. Mr M - The true Master at Work!

You really want the Tom Moulton re-mix :-)....by miles the best version.....
  16. Only limited demand for it Wayne. I guess it's past it's peak now :-) Be's that way sometimes with records.....some you win some you lose......
  17. Hi Dave, it's possible certainly, I am going to call someone who may remember......If I find out will let you know. Cheers Steve
  18. Hi Ian, Thanks I do know that Ann was Tash Howard's act. Tash is long passed over like J.R.Bailey. I am thinking if it was j.R Baileys sister or something he'd probably have been involved in the publishing or writing somewhere......but his name doesn't appear. :-(
  19. I agree Nev in principle, particularly with mediocre stuff. But I think really good soul records hold their price and this is a really good soul record. Not sure about £250 though, it's tempting me out to a few boot fairs to see what I can find
  20. Hi Dave This is a much younger Ann Bailey, from LA (but now living in the UK amazingly!). Some bangin' music tho! This Ann Bailey got going in the 21st Century....good diva. Any other ideas for the "Sweeping your dirt" girl? All idea gratefully considered....ya never know.. Thanks, Steve
  21. Won't be the first time, nor the last Nev.....Butch does indeed play a US acetate of it.
  22. Just waiting for some of you to start bickering about what day of the week it is.....
  23. I am also pretty certain that although they have issue numbers there are several records on Dynamo that I've never even seen.
