  3. Don't think so. Think I paid about £140 for a demo.
  4. Is the Roy Hamilton issue that much rarer than the demo? $400?
  5. I see your taste as R&B Popcorn esq, I like that. Not for everybody though. A more polished production is sometimes nice amidst all the shouting.
  6. Repetitive shouter.
  7. Inexpensive records is the theme of the thread. Twenty pounds, not two hundred and twenty. Good record though..
  8. You're entitled to your opinion of course Gordon and interesting that you should hold such a view of this record. To my ear it's a quality super soulful atmospheric builder and the next time I play out, I'm definitely going to give it a spin in your honour. Wouldn't do for us all to be the same, different strokes and all that. So roll me a 20/30 quidder better then that then .?
  9. This isn't an off topic flag wave of cheap good sounds, but an on topic prove a point clip. 20 quid, never played out. Records that would be that good for that much, you must be able to count on the johnny fingers of one hand? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVk2eahL7Pw
  10. Was thinking of Butch and Towanda Barnes, but had a look and it's a hundred and fifty quid! He paid six shillings and ninepence from John Anderson in 1912 though, so it's all relative innit!

Sorted, well kind of. Wanted a 50 spesh, but got this (below). Now need to source a 125 lump or someone who can do the gears for me - I can sort carb & barrel etc.. Bit of a bargain this German PK50. May just register it, mot and tax and resell. Not sure..

I'm after a Vespa 50, 90, 100 or Prim. Not after PK or PX, would also consider series II Lambretta.

  14. I remember the millionth, right around the time Michael Jackson died. Well done the site and members!
  15. Today? Same as always and this is very simple both a type of scene, both a type of music.

Yeah I've heard that said. Having just listened to it or the first time, it doesn't come anywhere near the brilliance of the other side for me. It was comparable to something like Silky Hargraves for me, it was that good (ILAY). I dunno, few more listens maybe.. Thanks for the tips chaps.
  17. Good film this, but not quite as good as I'd hoped it would be. Lagged a bit in places and a bit too much of the Stones for my liking. Not as good as Standing In The Shadows, but worth a watch.

Never heard the other side to 'Look At You'. Wonder if there's a soundfile kicking about?
  19. It's a nighter though Barn, c'mon lad!

    What, your copy Nev?
  21. Other than Paul or Keb, who has the right to say they are qualified to teach NS dance? Maybe we should have an NS jury to certificate. Those two got into it organically, where gripped by the music, uplifted. Unless you understand the emotion of what the music means... It's the music that moves you, in through the ears and out through the feet. Dave2 found it worthwhile to have dance lessons from Sharon or whatever her name was and that's a good thing. However, someone who has only been into it a couple of years, teaching someone else, one two three kick, one two three kick = Uninspired dance floor fodder.
  22. Doesn't seem so. Why it isn't on YouTube like the others God only knows. Whose ever heard of Vimto?
  23. Exactly and anything else is perverse. Dancing lessons at a do ffs. Start spoon feeding NS to nubes and they'll miss the point on discovery, enlightenment and enjoyment.
  24. Authentic quality
  25. Yep I'd totally agree with that mate and I do get the practicalities of said 70's loose clothing etc, but purely from an aesthetic viewpoint, mods have faired better imo.
