Many I know are not bothering with ebay, not like they used to. Whereas many religiously studied it, they now look now and again. Having to sift through all the dross, boots and pressing s etc, the fees, the increase in postage especially the US, custom fees, all contributing to buyers looking elsewhere. I rarely look these days. Many sellers seem to have moved to Discogs.

I had a feeling it might have been Tim's. Not heard of one of the others going over seas though, I've heard Kitch play his in recent times. Nice to keep a track though, I've a strong interest in Kell and Highland.

Lyrically it is crap but it is a great dancer.

I have podcasts to do for Chris Plant, jimmy Wensiora, Keith Minshull, I have odds and sods left over from some of the other dj's that will make another. More from Richard hopefully. I have a list of records that I can't attribute to a DJ yet, probably upstairs spins or tape swap stuff from back then....oh and Butch. We reckon there is at least another 25% of Guys stuff that is forgotten right now, other stuff that is forgotten for the other DJ's as well. There is stuff I can't find out what they are nor can the dj's remember plus rarities I can't find sound files for.

Wow, thanks for the comments, they are greatly appreciated and it is good to see these enjoyed by so many IMO. there are plenty of great records out there that are very much still largely unknown to many due to the mentality of Dj's these days, not just the Stafford era but others as well. Hopefully they will have their day again, many ripe for reactivation, many can be bought cheap or at a reasonable price as well.

I've had sound files of both versions for years, dunno why never mentioned, though folk was aware as there are quite a few takes, several acetates and the LP. I had a listen to both and althpugh I'm not fond of the harmonica I think that take gives it a bit more oomph? I do prefer the harmonica less take though although I'm not a lover of the record full stop. what are the deadwax markings? I would assume if at all that is where you tell the differenc?
