  1. Got to say that is a bloody great photo. How long where you sat there waiting for that particular shot?
  2. There is a 5th Mick, more 70's feel with wah wah guitar, think that is what it is
  3. The Article has been done, should be on the front page, Andy Whitmore did it in the end. Might look at a podcast or two of Allanton records, punters choices of course.
  4. Weird listening to the podcast I don't think it is the right one yet I have the right one in the list of tracks I assembled the podcast from Bugger I guess I'll have to do it again just for accuracies sake
  5. I think I have the right take in the Dave Withers podcast in The Stafford Story Can you have a listen at the beginning of this podcast Robb and confirm? Dave Withers And Rod Shard: Forever In My Heart It is the take on the Originals Best Of cd released in 1999 I think as well.
  6. Pete I'm set up to record as long as I want. If you want some tapes converting let me kow and ill do them and put on cd as mp3 or whatever format you want. The tape player even turns over on its own so I just let it roll and cut the blank bit in the middle out and trim. Same for anyone else with tapes they want converting.
  7. One 60's one 70's if memory serves me correctly. Same recording though although they are different.
  8. Brad Lundy did it twice.
  9. Pat says it is Kenny Smth.
  10. T'is indeed Brian. I will post a recording of the flip when I get home next
  11. Cheers Pete, I will give Rob a shout when I get the chance.
  12. From the horses mouth........ John Manship tells me was on a buying trip with Mick Godfrey and he got 63 ten (10) inch acetates of unissued Motown from Simon Soussan in the late 80's, the Four Tops unissued Jazz Workshop album was also in there amongst all the good stuff. Most of the acetates were sold upon John's return to the UK. Simon Soussan had so much stock John ran out of money on the first day. The scan I posted looks like the 10 inch acetate John sold to Gary Fields who then in turn sold it to Richard Searling.
  13. You won't see an original as one doesn't exist except for the Originals acetates. What you have is a boot with a made up group name.
  14. I've asked countless times for tapes from the period. The tapes and recordings I do have there isn't many of Pat but what I do have I think I have the details. I am going through them as and when time allows. Most if not all are on my mixcloud page. I don't have sound files for the list either, they are from written lists.
  15. I'm not sure Des. I've asked Pat, just waiting for a reply. Do you know any of the others in the link above?
  16. UNKNOWN "You Can't Mean It" "Moses Dillard" This was Curly Moore on Sansu. Pat says he had it first with Guy getting one some time later. UNKNOWN "I Just Can't Go Back" "Billy Hambric" Des thinks this might be Leroy Horne - Don't Come Back on Pompeii,
  17. When you are a mod you can tell me what to do, until then......... I was referring to this record at a tenner so it was relevant.
  18. Thanks mate, the Billy Hambric I was thinking of is this one, UNKNOWN "I Just Can't Go Back" "Billy Hambric" It is in the list on the topic in the link above, whole host of Pat spins trying to identify.
  19. Whilst on the subject of Pat's cover ups and forgotten ones anyone figure out what these are in this topic....
  20. Stafford was running but not under Top Dog banner. Keith Minsh and Chris King ran it under the Weekend Soul Club banner and the March night was a Torch revival I think, I can check the Echoes if you really want to know? Stafford as you/we know it under Dave Thorley and the Top Dog Soul Club started in April 1982. Dave was certainly Djing at Stafford in May as I have a playlist of his from then, can't say for sure if he was at the first in April as I can't find a flyer or advert for it.
  21. Here is the "sleeve" that came with Rob's LP. The second never materialised. It would be late 80's into early 90's when he did this, can't remember for sure. I remember John Kingan went to collect his and my copy.
  22. Billy Hambric c/u?
  23. A top 20 of Pats from March 1982...guess the cover ups?
  24. Here's two adverts from February and March 1982 for the SAS of GB Soul Club.
